Photos: Police, Neighbors Gather Outside Herndon Home

After family of four found dead Tuesday, neighbors gathered to talk and grieve.

Police, press and neighbors descended on a Herndon, Virginia neighborhood Tuesday after Fairfax County officers found the bodies of four people in a home in the 13300 block of Point Rider Lane.

Police discovered the bodies of two adults and two children around noon Tuesday. A cause of death is not yet available. Neighbors say the family who lived in the home was friendly and helpful.

They gathered outside in the neighborhood to wait for their children to get off the bus; to talk and comfort each other. Nearby resident Sherry Webster said her son had been friends with the family’s two boys when they were younger. She said it will be difficult to tell her son what happened.
