MWAA Police Launch Online Citizen Reporting System

The new system gives passengers and toll road drivers the ability to file non-emergency police reports online

The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority police department launched a new system that allows the public to file police reports online, MWAA officials announced in a press release Monday.

Those filing non-emergency reports can visit the www.mwaa.com website, for incidents such as theft, lost property, hit and run, identity theft, vehicle tampering, harassing phone calls, vandalism and theft from a motor vehicle.

The incident has to have occurred in MWAA’s police department jurisdiction, which includes the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, the Washington Dulles International Airport, the Dulles Toll Road and the Dulles Airport Access Road.

To file a report, visit www.mwaa.com, click on the “Emergency Services,” then click the link for “Citizen Online Police Reporting.” MWAA’s police will review each report made and provide the person who made the report with an electronic notification on the status of the report and a printed police report. MWAA police also want to remind people that filing a false police report is a crime.
