Identity of Man Who Evaded Police & Prompted Brief Manhunt Revealed

The man evaded Fairfax County Police and ran into Herndon on April 17, prompting an inter-agency search with Herndon police.

 

The Herndon Police Department revealed the identity of the man who evaded County police and prompted a short manhunt on April 17.

Terrance O. Malloy, 20, of Washington, D.C., was wanted for unlawful entry into a home. Fairfax County Police were surveilling him on April 17 when he detected the officers and took off into Herndon.

The County police enlisted the help of the Herndon Police Department in searching for him. A brief manhunt lasted about 15 minutes before Herndon police officers caught Malloy and helped County police take him into custody.

The inter-agency manhunt employed several officers, K-9 units and a helicopter.

Malloy was eventually captured near the intersection of Van Buren and Spring streets.
