Herndon Police Search for Sexual Assault Suspect

Two victims were sexually assaulted after a man identified himself as law enforcement to them.

Herndon Police are seeking a suspect that could be tied to two sexual assaults that happened within hours of each other on Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2011. 

Police said the suspect in the cases is described as Asian, male, 5'5" to 5'6" tall, 35-40 years old, and weighing about 150 pounds. His vehicle is of an unknown make and model, but is gray, is mid-size and has four doors. 

The first of the incidents occurred at about 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday in the 1200 block of Magnolia Lane. The victim was approached by the suspect and he identified himself as law enforcement before sexually assaulting her. The man fled the area in a gray car when the victim tried to enter her home.

The second incident happened at about 7 p.m. on Tuesday evening in the 400 block of Elden Street. The suspect approached the victim, identified himself as law enforcement, and then forced the victim into a gray vehicle. He drove a short distance and sexually assaulted the victim.
