Herndon Police Report: Victim's Three Cars Entered, Money Stolen

Someone reported their three unsecured cars were entered and an undisclosed amount of money was stolen in the 700 block of Jackson Street, according to Herndon Police.

The reported the following incidents from July 16 through July 22, 2012. The following information was supplied by the Herndon Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction. 

BRUIN DISTRICT
• The victim reported receiving harassing phone calls from an acquaintance at 3:54 p.m. on July 19 in the 600 block of Center Street.
• The victim reported their stereo was stolen from their unsecured vehicle between 10 p.m. on July 20 and 9:21 p.m. on July 21 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• Graffiti was reported found in the area at 3:07 p.m. on July 16 in the 2200 block of Highcourt Lane.
• A 41-year-old Herndon man was arrested for being drunk in public at 2:31 a.m. on July 21 in the 500 block of Florida Avenue.

GOLF COURSE DISTRICT
• Graffiti was reported found in the area at 6:02 a.m. on July 18 in the 1100 block of Shannon Place.
• A noise complaint was reported at 9:20 p.m. on July 21 in the 1100 block of Shannon Place.

HALEY SMITH DISTRICT
• A 22-year-old Herndon man was issued a summons for possession of marijuana at 11:19 p.m. on July 19 in the 300 block of Herndon Parkway.
• The victim reported their wallet was stolen while they were eating at a restaurant between 1:51 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. on July 17 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• A 22-year-old Herndon man was issued a summons for shoplifting at 5:57 p.m. on July 17 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• The victim reported their bicycle was stolen from outside a business between 3:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on July 17 in the 500 block of Herndon Parkway.
• A 20-year-old Herndon man was issued two summonses for larceny and for underage possession of alcohol at 5:55 p.m. on July 18 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• The victim reported unauthorized transfers of money from their bank accounts at 10:21 a.m. on July 17 in the 100 block of Elden Street.
• A noise complaint was reported at 11:22 p.m. on July 18 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• A 19-year-old Herndon man was issued a summons for underage possession of alcohol at 1:36 a.m. on July 19 near the intersection of Elden and Van Buren streets. 

RUNNYMEDE DISTRICT
• The victim reported three of their unsecured vehicles were entered between 9:30 p.m. on July 20 and 8:30 a.m. on July 21 and an undisclosed amount of money was reported stolen in the 700 block of Jackson Street.
• A 30-year-old Herndon man was issued a summons for drinking in public and urinating in public at 10:06 p.m. on July 17 in the 800 block of Park Avenue.
• A 26-year-old Herndon man was issued a summons for drinking in public at 9:47 p.m. on July 18 in the 800 block of Park Avenue.

CENTER DISTRICT
• A 27-year-old Herndon man was arrested for being drunk in public and urinating in public at 9:42 p.m. on July 18 in the 1000 block of Alabama Drive.
• A 28-year-old Herndon woman was arrested for being drunk in public at 12:12 a.m. on July 20 in the 1100 block of Herndon Parkway.
• A 54-year-old Herndon man was arrested for being drunk in public at 7:04 p.m. on July 20 in the 1100 block of Elden Street.
• A 19-year-old Herndon man was arrested for being drunk in public at 10:28 p.m. on July 21 in the 1000 block of Elden Street.
• The victim reported their license plate stolen from their vehicle at 6:08 p.m. on July 16 in the 1200 block of Elden Street.
• A 16-year-old Herndon teen was issued a summons for underage possession of alcohol at 10:11 p.m. on July 17 in the 1000 block of Elden Street. 

OTHER INCIDENTS
• A 28-year-old Clermont, Fla. man was arrested for driving while intoxicated at 12:29 a.m. on July 18 in the 1200 block of Alabama Drive.
• Herndon Police reported the following traffic incidents from July 16-22: one incident of driving under the influence, 48 incidents of speeding, six incidents of no operators license, and one incident of driving while on a suspended or revoked license.
