Herndon Police Report: Sink Torn from Bathroom Wall

Herndon Police report a sink was torn from the wall in a public restroom on Dec. 21 in the 800 block of Ferndale Avenue.

The Herndon Police Department reported the following incidents from Dec. 17 to Dec. 23, 2012. The following information was supplied by the Herndon Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction. 

BRUIN DISTRICT
• The victim reported having packages stolen from their doorstep between 5:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 17 in the 400 block of Virginia Avenue.
• The victim reported their vehicle was broken into between 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 14 and 8:31 p.m. on Dec. 17 and a GPS unit was stolen in the 500 block of Florida Avenue.
• A noise complaint was reported at 10:54 p.m. on Dec. 23 in the 12000 block of Alton Square. 

GOLF COURSE DISTRICT
• A sink was torn from the wall in a public restroom at 9:52 p.m. on Dec. 21 in the 800 block of Ferndale Avenue.
• The victim reported receiving threatening messages from an acquaintance via Facebook at 7:03 p.m. on Dec. 19 in the 1200 block of Springtide Place.
• A noise complaint was reported at 10:54 p.m. on Dec. 22 in the 1200 block of Autumn Place.

HALEY SMITH DISTRICT
• The victim reported their vehicle was entered and their registration and insurance card were stolen at 7:41 p.m. on Dec. 20 in the 400 block of Virginia Avenue.
• A 28-year-old Sterling woman was arrested for shoplifting and providing a false name to law enforcement at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 22 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• A 37-year-old Lexington Park, MD woman was issued a summons for shoplifting at 11:47 a.m. on Dec. 23 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• A parked vehicle was found to have been keyed between 8 a.m. and 8:25 a.m. on Dec. 17 in the 300 block of Elden Street.
• A subject repeatedly opened their car door into the door of a vehicle parked next to them causing damage at 10:16 a.m. on Dec. 20 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• A noise complaint was reported at 12:03 a.m. on Dec. 18 in the 100 block of Pearl Street.
• A subject filled a prescription that turned out to be fraudulent at 8:45 p.m. on Dec. 11 in the 400 block of Elden Street. 

RUNNYMEDE DISTRICT
• A noise complaint was reported at 5:57 p.m. on Dec. 23 in the 1000 block of Kings Court.
• A noise complaint was reported at 8:50 p.m. on Dec. 23 in the 1100 block of Player Way.

CENTER DISTRICT
• The victim reported being assaulted by an acquaintance at 4:43 a.m. on Dec. 20 in the 1200 block of Elden Street.
• A 37-year-old Fairfax man was arrested for being drunk in public and trespassing at 7:10 p.m. on Dec. 21 in the 1200 block of Elden Street.
• A 28-year-old Alexandria woman was arrested for driving on a revoked license at 9:29 p.m. on Dec. 21 in the 1100 block of Elden Street.
• A noise complaint was reported at 12:03 a.m. on Dec. 23 in the 1300 block of Dulles Place. 

OTHER INCIDENTS
• Herndon Parkway northbound was temporarily closed due to a single car accident into a telephone pole at 7:11 p.m. on Dec. 21 near the intersection of Herndon Parkway and Dranesville Road. No injuries were reported.
• A 34-year-old Herndon man was arrested for driving while intoxicated and driving without a license at 2:02 a.m. on Dec. 22 near the intersection of Elden Street and Sterling Road.
• A 54-year-old Herndon man was arrested for driving while intoxicated at 7:25 p.m. on Dec. 22 near the intersection of Van Buren and Spring streets.
• A 28-year-old Sterling man was arrested for driving while intoxicated and driving on a revoked license at 2:49 a.m. on Dec. 23 in the 500 block of Florida Avenue.
• A 46-year-old Herndon man was arrested for driving while intoxicated at 10:36 a.m. on Dec. 23 in the 1200 block of Summerfield Drive.
• Herndon Police reported the following traffic incidents from Dec. 17-23: two incidents of reckless driving, four incidents of driving under the influence, 13 incidents of speeding, two incidents of driving without an operators license, three incidents of driving on a suspended or revoked license, and four incidents of expired or no Town of Herndon sticker.
