Herndon Police Report: Seven Incidents of Drunk in Public Reported

The Herndon Police Department reported the following incidents from Jan. 14 through Jan. 20, 2013. The following information was supplied by the Herndon Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction. 

BRUIN DISTRICT
• The victim reported being assaulted by an acquaintance at 10:58 p.m. on Jan. 17 in the 2100 block of Wilkes Court.
• A 30-year-old Herndon man was arrested for assault and possession of marijuana at 10:52 a.m. on Jan. 20 in the 400 block of Virginia Avenue.
• The victim reported that on Dec. 26, 2012 a firearm was stolen from their unsecured vehicle in the 12000 block of Alton Square. The victim also reported that between 5:20 p.m. on Jan. 15 and 7:40 a.m. on Jan. 16 their iPhone charger was stolen from their vehicle.
• The victim reported the inside of their residence was trashed by an acquaintance at 12:49 p.m. on Jan. 20 in the 500 block of Florida Avenue.
• A 45-year-old man with no fixed address was arrested for being drunk in public at 3:33 p.m. on Jan. 19 in the 1000 block of Elden Street.
• An 18-year-old Sterling man was arrested for auto tampering as well as on an outstanding warrant out of Fairfax County and a 21-year-old Herndon man was arrested for auto tampering and drunk in public at 3:20 a.m. on Jan. 15 in the 12000 block of Alton Square. 

GOLG COURSE DISTRICT
• A 28-year-old Herndon man was arrested for assault at 8 p.m. on Jan. 20 in the 1100 block of Lisa Court. 

HALEY SMITH DISTRICT
• The victim reported being assaulted by an acquaintance at 10:54 p.m. on Jan. 16 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• A subject attempted to shoplift a bouquet of flowers from a business at 8 p.m. on Jan. 14 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• Two juvenile subjects attempted to shoplift hair care products from a business at 7:54 p.m. on Jan. 17 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• A 24-year-old man and a 26-year-old man, both of Reston, were arrested for drinking in public at 12:36 a.m. on Jan. 19 in the 300 block of Elden Street.
• A subject staying in a hotel left without paying the bill for the room at 10:35 a.m. on Jan. 15 in the 400 block of Herndon Parkway. 

RUNNYMEDE DISTRICT
• The victim reported an acquaintance stole their cell phone from their residence at 2:06 pm. On Jan. 14 in the 1300 block of Monroe Street.
• A 26-year-old Herndon man was arrested for possession of marijuana and for having a concealed weapon at 12:20 a.m. on Jan. 20 in the 700 block of Elden Street.
• Graffiti was reported found in the area at 9:44 p.m. on Jan. 14 in the 900 block of Park Avenue.
• The victim reported an account was opened in their name without their authorization at 12 a.m. on Jan. 15 in the 1000 block of Knight Lane.
• The victim reported unauthorized charges on their credit card at 8:19 a.m. on Jan. 18 in the 700 block of Elden Street. 

CENTER DISTRICT
• A 53-year-old Herndon man was arrested for assault at 7:31 p.m. on Jan. 17 in the 600 block of Dulles Park Court.
• A 46-year-oldHerndon man was arrested for being drunk in public at 4:11 p.m. on Jan. 14 in the 1000 block of Lexus Way.
• A 45-year-old Herndon man was arrested for being drunk in public at 9:09 p.m. on Jan. 14 in the 1000 block of Elden Street.
• A 25-year-old Herndon man and a 35-year-old man, both of Herndon, were arrested for being drunk in public at 12:03 a.m. on Jan. 16 in the 1000 block of Elden Street.
• A 61-year-old man with no fixed address was arrested for being drunk in public at 12:05 a.m. on Jan. 18 in the 1000 block of Elden Street.
• A subject shoplifted a bottle of Grey Goode Cherry Noir Vodka from a business at 1:33 p.m. on Jan. 19 in the 1200 block of Elden Street.
• The victim reported three of their vehicles were keyed between 2 p.m. on Jan. 7 and 7 a.m. on Jan. 17 in the 1000 block of Lexus Way.
• A subject shoplifted a bottle of Dr. Pepper from a business at 4:43 p.m. on Jan. 14 in the 1100 block of Elden Street. 

OTHER INCIDENTS
• A 45-year-old Ashburn man was arrested for driving while intoxicated at 11:35 p.m. on Jan. 19 near the intersection of Elden Street and Sterling Road.
• A 28-year-old Herndon man was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Loudoun County at 1:20 p.m. on Jan. 17 in the 700 block of Van Buren Street.
• An 18-year-old Herndon woman was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Loudoun County at 9:13 p.m. on Jan. 17 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• A 21-year-old Herndon man was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Loudoun County at 4:51 a.m. on Jan. 19 in the 1000 block of Elden Street.
• Herndon Police reported the following traffic incidents from Jan. 14-20: one incident of reckless driving, one incident of driving under the influence, three incidents of driving while on a suspended or revoked license, and 51 incidents of speeding.
