Herndon Police Report - Sept. 26 to Oct. 2

Candy, compressed air cans and chain saws were reported stolen in Herndon.

The Herndon Police reported the following incidents from Sept. 26 through Oct. 2, 2011:

BRUIN DISTRICT
• The victim reported being robbed by a group of subjects who assaulted him, stole his iPhone and fled the area at 6 p.m. on Sept. 25 near the intersection of Alabama Drive and Florida Avenue.
• A trespassing was reported at 7:38 p.m. on Sept. 29 in the 600 block of Spring Street.
• A noise complaint was reported at 10:12 p.m. on Oct. 1 in the 12000 block of Alton Square.

GOLF COURSE DISTRICT
• The victim reported being assaulted by an acquaintance at 4:11 p.m. on Oct. 2 in the 800 block of Ferndale Avenue.
• Graffiti was reported found in the are at 7:43 a.m. on Sept. 26 in the 1000 block of Crestview Drive.
• The victim reported unauthorized charges were made on their credit card at 3:50 p.m. on Sept. 26 in the 1100 block of Shannon Place .
• A noise complaint was reported at 3:02 a.m. on Sept. 29 in the 1300 block of Springtide Place.
• A noise complaint was reported at 1:21 a.m. on Oct. 1 in the 800 block of Spring Knoll Place.

HALEY SMITH DISTRICT
• The victim reported being assaulted by a subject while inside a business at 5:04 p.m. on Sept. 27 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• Santos Fuentes, 48, and Doris Fuentes, 24, of Herndon, were each issued a summons for alleged larceny at 5:38 p.m. on Sept. 27 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• A subject attempted to shoplift candy and compressed air cans from a business at 6 p.m. on Sept. 27 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• The victim reported their cell phone stolen from inside a business at 2:20 p.m. on Sept. 28 in the 300 block of Elden Street.
• The victim reported their vehicle was damaged between 4 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. on Sept. 29 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• The victim reported unauthorized charges were made on their credit card at 5:04 p.m. on Sept. 29 in the 300 block of Spring Street.
• A noise complaint was reported at 11:53 p.m. on Sept. 30 in the 400 block of Spring Park Place.
• Saab Abdella, 38, of Reston, was issued a summons for allegedly urinating in public at 10:47 p.m. on Oct. 2 in the 700 block of VanBuren Street.

RUNNYMEDE DISTRICT
• The victim reported being assaulted by an unknown subject at 2:15 p.m. on Sept. 30 in the 1300 block of Grant Street.
• Two chainsaws were reportedly taken from the garage of a residence between 4 p.m. on Sept. 24 and 6 a.m. on Sept. 25 in the 1000 block of Grant Street.
• Two subjects ordered drinks at a business and left without paying their bill at 7:58 p.m. on Oct. 2 in the 700 block of Elden Street.
• The deadbolt for a storage unit at a business was damaged between 3 a.m. and 10 a.m. on Sept. 26 in the 600 block of Spring Street.
• The victim reported an acquaintance had broken the rear windshield on their vehicle at 5:36 p.m. on Oct. 2 near the intersection of Station Street and First Place.
• A trespassing was reported at 8:03 a.m. on Oct. 2 in the 700 block of Peachtree Street.

CENTER STREET
• The victim reported being assaulted by an acquaintance at 5:21 a.m. on Sept. 26 in the 1200 block of Wilshire Drive.
• The victim reported being spit on by a subject at 8:10 p.m. on Sept. 26 in the 1200 block of Elden Street.
• The victim reported being assaulted by a subject at 9:20 p.m. on Sept. 30 in the 1000 block of Elden Street.
• The victim reported their license plate was stolen at 6:55 p.m. on Sept. 26 in the 1200 block of Elden Street.
• Victor Palma, of unknown age and with no fixed address, was arrested for alleged drunk in public at 6:58 p.m. on Sept. 28 in the 1200 block of Elden Street.
• Moises Reyes Otero, 28, of Hyattsville, MD, was arrested for allegedly driving on a revoked license at 6:41 a.m. on Sept. 30 in the 1200 block of Elden Street.

OTHER INCIDENTS
• Herndon Police reported the following traffic incidents from Sept. 26 through Oct. 2: one incident of reckless driving, 79 incidents of speeding, seven incidents of no operators license, five incidents of driving on a suspended or revoked license, and 34 incidents of expired or no Town of Herndon sticker.
