Herndon Police Report: Remote Control Helicopter Reported Stolen

The Herndon Police Department reported the following incidents from Sept. 17 through Sept. 23, 2012. The following information was supplied by the Herndon Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction. 

BRUIN DISTRICT
• The victim reported being assaulted by an acquaintance at 3:48 p.m. on Sept. 21 in the 500 block of Florida Avenue.
• The victim reported being assaulted by an acquaintance at 5:41 p.m. on Sept. 22 in the 2100 block of Highcourt Lane. 

GOLF COURSE DISTRICT
• The victim reported returning to their residence to find their back door had been shattered and an undisclosed amount of money was missing from inside their home at 3:20 p.m. on Sept. 19 in the 1200 block of Springtide Place.
• A 28-year-old Herndon man was arrested for assault at 12:37 a.m. on Sept. 20 in the 1100 block of Whitewater Place.
• The victim reported being assaulted by an acquaintance at 1:41 a.m. on Sept. 23 in the 1200 block of Springtide Place. 

HALEY SMITH DISTRICT
• A bicycle was reported stolen from behind a business at 3:24 p.m. on Sept. 19 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• A handicap placard was reportedly stolen from inside a vehicle at 11:01 a.m. on Sept. 20 in the 600 block of Grant Street.
• The victim reported an undisclosed amount of money was stolen from their wallet inside a business at 3:54 p.m. on Sept. 23 in the 600 block of Elden Street.
• A 32-year-old man with no fixed address was arrested for possession of cocaine at 1:49 a.m. on Sept. 23 in the 700 block of Grant Street.
• A noise complaint was reported at 3:28 a.m. on Sept. 17 in the 100 block of Laurel Way.
• A noise complaint was reported at 1:47 a.m. on Sept. 19 in the 200 block of Elden Street.
• A noise complaint was reported at 12:10 a.m. on Sept. 23 in the 700 block of Cordell Way. 

CENTER DISTRICT
• The victim reported being assaulted by a group of subjects who stole his wallet and a cell phone and then fled the area at 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 23 in the 1100 block of Elden Street.
• The victim reported being assaulted by an acquaintance at 6:12 p.m. on Sept. 17 in the 1200 block of Elden Street.
• The victim reported being threatened with a knife by an acquaintance who fled the area at 9:52 p.m. on Sept. 22 in the 1200 block of Magnolia Lane.
• A subject attempted to shoplift a can of Hurricane beer from a business at 1:41 p.m. on Sept. 19 in the 1100 block of Elden Street.
• A subject shoplifted a remote control helicopter from a business at 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 22 in the 1100 block of Elden Street.
• The victim reported their moped stolen from outside a business at 7:19 p.m. on Sept. 23 in the 1100 block of Elden Street.
• A 22-year-old Rockville, MD man was issued a summons for possession of marijuana at 9:24 a.m. on Sept. 23 in the 1200 block of Magnolia Lane.
• The victim reported their kitchen window was shattered by an acquaintance at 10:46 p.m. on Sept. 17 in the 1200 block of Elden Street.
• A 16-year-old Herndon teen was charged with unlawful entry at 1:26 a.m. on Sept. 17 in the 1100 block of Cypress Tree Place.
• A noise complaint was reported at 3:55 p.m. on Sept. 23 in the 1000 block of Alabama Drive. 

OTHER INCIDENTS
• A 54-year-old Reston man was arrested for driving while intoxicated at 6:09 p.m. on Sept. 17 in the 100 block of Spring Street.
• A 49-year-old Herndon man was arrested for driving while intoxicated at 10:50 p.m. on Sept. 21 in the 700 block of Van Buren Street.
• A 23-year-old Reston man was arrested for driving while intoxicated at 1:39 a.m. on Sept. 22 in the 600 block of Elden Street.
• A 36-year-old Reston man was arrested for driving while intoxicated at 10:20 p.m. on Sept. 22 in the 700 block of Elden Street.
• A 24-year-old Silver Spring, MD man was arrested for driving while intoxicated at 1:39 a.m. on Sept. 23 in the 300 block of Missouri Avenue.
• A 22-year-old Herndon man was arrested on an outstanding warrant from The College of William and Mary Police Department at 10:44 p.m. on Sept. 23 in the 600 block of Dulles Park Court.
• The Herndon Police reported the following traffic incidents from Sept. 17-23: one incident of reckless driving, five incidents of driving under the influence, 15 incidents of speeding, one incident of no operators license, 10 incidents of driving while on a suspended or revoked license, and one incident of expired or no Town of Herndon sticker.
