Herndon Police Report - Oct. 24-30

Herndon Police reported the following incidents from Oct. 24 through Oct. 30, 2011:

BRUIN DISTRICT
• Matewas Amado, 30, of South Riding, was arrested for alleged assault, burglary and abduction at 10:31 a.m. on Oct. 27 in the 600 block of Center Street.
• License plate decals were reported stolen from a vehicle at 12:44 p.m. on Oct. 27 in the 13000 block of Worldgate Drive.
• The victim reported being assaulted by a black male, 20-25 years old during a verbal altercation at 1:49 a.m. on Oct. 30 in the Bruin district.
• Daniel Johnson, 31, of Herndon, was arrested for alleged assault at 2:37 a.m. on Oct. 30 in the 300 block of Cherry Court.

GOLF COURSE DISTRICT
• The victim reported their bicycle was stolen at 8:30 a.m. on Oct. 21 in the 800 block of Ferndale Avenue. The incident was reported to police at 9 p.m. on Oct. 24.
• Graffiti was reported found in the area at 7:53 a.m. on Oct. 25 in the 1000 block of Crestview Drive.

HALEY SMITH DISTRICT
• Chandrasekar Dasini, 30, of Herndon, was charged with alleged shoplifting at 7:08 p.m. on Oct. 25 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• Latroy Shelton, 36, of Fairfax, was charged with alleged shoplifting at 12 a.m. on Oct. 27 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• Bryony Njala, 20, of Falls Church, was charged with alleged shoplifting at 9:43 p.m. on Oct. 30 in the 300 block of Elden Street.

RUNNYMEDE DISTRICT
• The victim reported she was assaulted by an acquaintance at 7:43 p.m. on Oct. 30 in the 1100 block of Casper Drive.
• The victim reported his credit card was used in Colorado without his permission on Oct. 13, 2011. The incident was reported at 4:50 p.m. on Oct. 24, in the 1000 block of Charlton Place.
• The victim reported their credit card was used in Ohio without their permission during the past several days. The incident was reported at 9:06 p.m. on Oct. 24 in the 1000 block of Merlins Lane.

CENTER DISTRICT
• The victim reported their credit card was used in Herndon without their permission at 12 p.m. on Oct. 24 in the 1200 block of Elden Street.
• Erlys Rodriguez, 29, of Herndon, was arrested for allegedly defrauding a taxi at 2:31 a.m. on Oct. 28 in the 1000 block of Elden Street.
• The victim’s vehicle was reported scratched between 7 a.m. on Oct. 21 and 9 a.m. on Oct. 23 in the 1100 block of Elden Street.
• Hugo Medrano Vasquez, 51, of Sterling, was arrested for alleged drunk in public at 1:48 p.m. on Oct. 25 in the 1200 block of Elden Street.
• Jenna Magruer, 22, of Falls Church, was arrested with alleged drunk in public at 10:16 p.m. on Oct. 27 in the 1100 block of Elden Street.

OTHER INCIDENTS
• Scott Sproat, 24, of Austin, TX, was arrested for alleged driving while intoxicated at 10:43 p.m. on Oct. 24 in the 700 block of Elden Street.
• Henson Barralaga, 37, of Columbia, MD, was arrested for alleged driving while intoxicated at 10:49 p.m. on Oct. 29 in the 700 block of Elden Street.
• Herndon Police reported the following traffic incidents: one incident of reckless driving, two incidents of driving under the influence, 10 incidents of speeding, three incidents of no operators license, one incident of driving while on a suspended or revoked license, and 34 incidents of expired or no Town of Herndon sticker.
