Herndon Police Report - Oct. 11-17

The Herndon Police Department reported the following incidents from Oct. 11 through 17:

BRUIN DISTRICT

• The victim reported being assaulted by an acquaintance at 9:33 p.m. on Oct. 17 in the 400 block of Spruce Court.
• Three vehicles were broken into between 10 p.m. on Oct. 10 and 9:15 a.m. on Oct. 11 with one victim reporting a DVD player stolen.
• Jose Najarro Rivera, 27, of Herndon, was arrested for alleged drunk in public at 8:39 p.m. on Oct. 13 in the 13000 block of Worldgate Drive.
• Kevin Sandoval, 25, of Sterling, was arrested for alleged drunk in public at 2:01 a.m. on Oct. 17 in the 600 block of Center Street.

GOLF COURSE DISTRICT

• The victim reported jewelry was stolen from their residence between Sept. 1, 2010 and Oct. 13, 2010 in the 1400 block of Horizon Court.
• Jose Reyes Cruz, 28, of no fixed address, was arrested for alleged drunk in public at 9:59 p.m. on Oct. 15 near the intersection of Crestview Drive and the W&OD Trail.

HALEY SMITH DISTRICT

• The victim reported being inappropriately touched and verbally harassed by a subject at 6:16 p.m. on Oct. 13 in the 100 block of Elden Street.
• Brenda Enriquez, 28, of Reston, was issued a summons for alleged larceny at 10:12 a.m. on Oct. 14 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• Daniel Garciz, 22, Osmin Cordova, 24, and Juan Cabrera, 44, all of Herndon, were arrested for alleged grand larceny and destruction of property at 1:48 a.m. on Oct. 15 in the 500 block of Herndon Parkway.
• Alfredo Zarate, 46, of Herndon, was arrested for alleged drunk in public at 12:19 a.m. on Oct. 17 in the 700 block of Elden Street.
• Omar Menjivar Lopez, 25, of Herndon, was arrested for alleged drunk in public at 4:47 p.m. on Oct. 17 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• It was reported that a subject wrote a fraudulent check to a business in July 2010 on Oct. 12 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• Manuel Mosqueda Vargas, 31, of Herndon, was arrested for allegedly driving on a revoked license at 2:16 p.m. on Oct. 15 near the intersection of Herndon Parkway and Elden Street.

RUNNYMEDE DISTRICT

• The victim reported an unknown subject entered their residence between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. Oct. 17 through an unsecured window and stole an Xbox 360 and the controllers in the 1100 block of Burwick Drive.
• Rigoberto Quinteros, 25, of Herndon, was arrested for alleged assault and violating a protective order at 7:50 p.m. on Oct. 17 in the 700 block of VanBuren Street.
• The victim reported a bicycle was stolen from the backyard of their residence between Aug. 30 and Oct. 11 in the 1300 block of Monroe Street.
• The victim reported damage done to their vehicle by bicycles at 4:30 p.m. on Oct. 15 in the 600 block of Center Street.
• The victim reported their mailbox was damaged at 10:23 p.m. on Oct. 15 in the 900 block of Barker Hill Road.
• The victim reported the latch on their gate was damaged between 8 a.m. on Oct. 13 and 2:55 p.m. on Oct. 17 in the 1000 block of Knight Lane.
• A noise complaint was reported at 10:15 p.m. on Oct. 16 in the 100 block of Fortnightly Boulevard.
• A noise complaint was reported at 12:46 a.m. on Oct. 17 in the 100 block of Fortnightly Boulevard.

CENTER DISTRICT

• Centanah Queen, 21, of Reston, was issued a summons for alleged assault at 4:25 a.m. on Oct. 13 in the 800 block of Dulles Court.
• The victim reported an unknown subject making derogatory comments to him, producing a knife, pushing him and then leaving the area at 9:08 p.m. on Oct. 14 in the 1200 bloc of Elden Street.
• The victim reported an unknown subject stealing quarters out of a laundry machine at 6 p.m. on Oct. 18 in the 1000 block of Elden Street.
• The victim reported their wallet was stolen from a business at 5:32 p.m. on Oct. 17 in the 1000 block of Elden Street.
• Javier Hernandez Perez, 23, of Herndon, was arrested for alleged distribution of cocaine and marijuana at 9:46 p.m. on Oct. 13 in the 1200 block of Elden Street.
• Jose R. Hernandez, 54, of no fixed address, and Orlando Lopez Rivera, 43, of Herndon, were arrested for alleged drunk in public at 9:10 p.m. on Oct. 11 in the 1100 block of Herndon Parkway.
• Carlos Paredes, 52, of no fixed address, was arrested for alleged drunk in public at 8:01 p.m. on Oct. 13 in the 1200 block of Elden Street.
• Jose Zetino, 43, of no fixed address, was arrested for alleged drunk in public at 11:39 a.m. on Oct. 14 in the 1000 block of Elden Street.
• Graffiti was reported found in the area at 11:12 a.m. on Oct. 16 in the 1200 block of Elden Street.

OTHER INCIDENTS

• Medardo Altuzar Galvez, 32, of Herndon, was arrested for allegedly driving while intoxicated at 12:40 a.m. on Oct. 16 in the 800 block of Elden Street.
• Samantha McLeroy, 22, of no fixed address, was arrested on an alleged outstanding warrant out of Titus County, Texas for fraud at 3:34 p.m. on Oct. 14 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• Herndon Police reported one incident of driving under the influence, 24 incidents of speeding, 11 incidents of no operators license, three incidents of driving while on a suspended or revoked license and three incidents of expired or no Town of Herndon sticker.
