Stealing campaign signs will result in a petty larceny charge if the value of the signs is less than $200.00 and grand larceny if they are worth more than $200.00. Defacing a sign will result in a destruction of property charge. A trespassing charge will be added for anyone trespassing on private property to commit the aforesaid crimes.

It is proper and fitting that these Romney signs be stolen. What right does Romney have to oppose the Obama Regime? Obama should not even have to go through an election. He should be President-for-Life, like his book-sharing friend Hugo Chavez. These elections are wasting Dear Leader Obama's time and taking him away from his more important duties of expanding the welfare and food stamp rolls to even higher record numbers, adding to the unemployment totals, driving gas prices to $5/gal, apologizing to every Islamist terror group across the Middle East, and decimating our military in time for the coming global war when Iran nukes Israel. Let's not only get rid of Romney's signs, but Romney too. Obama has more important things to do. These distractiuons are keeping him from his tee times.

Dave, as you know, our Romney sign was stolen out of our yard during the same time frame as the damaged signs. This is so childish, but no surpirse during election campaigning in Herndon. I wonder if those that steal or damage signs are aware that there are camera's just about everywhere these days!

Nancy, I believe some people who steal or deface the signs are unaware of the criminal implications. They presume that if someone had a campaign sign given to them, it is not a crime to take it or deface it. Poor reasoning. If someone steals or vandalizes a car that was given to me, it is not a good defense to assert that the car cost me nothing.
