Herndon Police Report - June 6-12

The Herndon Police Department reported the following incidents from June 6 through June 12, 2011:

BRUIN DISTRICT
• Tires of a vehicle were reported punctured between 8 p.m. on June 10 and 8:59 a.m. on June 11 in the 700 block of Palmer Drive.
• Yonas Habte, 42, of Falls Church, was arrested for alleged drunk in public at 11:57 p.m. on June 11 in the 13000 block of Worldgate Drive.

GOLF COURSE DISTRICT
• Marguerite Chandler, 60, of Herndon, was charged with allegedly allowing her dogs to run at large at 7:52 a.m. on June 6 in the 1300 block of April Way.
• The victim reported a fraudulent credit card was opened in her name at 4:33 p.m. on June 7 in the 1100 block of Waterford Place.
• A 15-year-old male, of Herndon, was arrested for alleged shoplifting and underage possession of alcohol at 11:10 p.m. on June 10 in the 1100 block of Crestview Drive.
• The victim reported being assaulted by an acquaintance at 8:38 a.m. on June 11 in the 1300 block of Springtide Place.

HALEY SMITH DISTRICT
• A male subject exposed himself to someone at 12:10 a.m. on June 7 in the 400 block of Herndon Parkway.
• Graffiti was reported found in the area at 6:30 a.m. on June 10 in the 700 block of Cordell Way.
• An unattended purse was reported stolen from a business at 4 p.m. on June 12 in the 300 block of Elden Street.

RUNNYMEDE DISTRICT
• A windshield was reported damaged between 6 p.m. on May 27 and 4:54 p.m. on June 6 in the 900 block of Jorss Place.
• Graffiti was reported found in the area at 8:56 a.m. on June 9 in the 100 block of Herndon Parkway.
• A bicycle was reported stolen at 2:41 p.m. on June 7 in the 700 block of Center street.
• A bicycle was reported stolen between 9 p.m. on June 7 and 8 a.m. on June 8 in the 1100 block of Stevenson Court.
• Construction materials were reported stolen at 9:35 a.m. on June 11 in the 600 block of Old Hunt Way.
• Michael Barden, 24, of Herndon, was arrested for alleged assault at 10:25 p.m. on June 11 in the 700 block of Van Buren Street.

CENTER DISTRICT
• A case of beer was reported stolen at 10:29 a.m. on June 10 in the 1000 block of Elden Street.
• A bicycle was reported stolen at 5:45 p.m. on June 10 in the 1200 block of Elden Street.
• An iPod was reported stolen at 12:12 p.m. on June 11 in the 1000 block of Elden Street.

OTHER INCIDENTS
• The following incidents were separate incidents compiled and reported by Herndon Police: two incidents of reckless driving, 35 incidents of speeding, 10 incidents of no operators license, six incidents of driving while on a suspended or revoked license, and one incident of expired or no Town of Herndon sticker.
