Herndon Police Report - June 18-24

Herndon Police reported that someone stole two half pints of Jim Beam whiskey from a business on June 11 in the 600 block of Post Drive.

The Herndon Police Department reported the following incidents from June 18 through June 24. The following information was supplied by the Herndon Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction. 

BRUIN DISTRICT
• A 36-year-old Herndon man was arrested for assault at 3:26 a.m. on June 24 in the 600 block of Alabama Drive.
• Graffiti was reported found in the are at 2:04 a.m. on June 18 in the 13000 block of Worldgate Drive.
• A noise complaint was reported at 11:44 p.m. on June 18 in the 2100 block of Raven Tower Court. 

GOLF COURSE DISTRICT
• The light bulbs of a maintenance shed were reported damaged between 12:30 p.m. on June 16 and 10:05 a.m. on June 18 in the 1200 block of Herndon Parkway.

HALEY SMITH DISTRICT
• The victim reported that wind chimes were stolen from their storage shed between July 1, 2011 and 1:58 p.m. on June 14 in the 300 block of Spring Street.
• The victim reported their vehicle was entered between 8:30 p.m. on June 18 and 12:18 a.m. on June 19 and several items were reported missing.
• The victim reported an undisclosed amount of money was missing from the cash register of a business at 7:27 a.m. on June 20 in the 500 block of Elden Street.
• The victim reported a bag of musical equipment was stolen between 2:30 p.m. on June 17 and 1:07 p.m. on June 21 in the 400 block of Herndon Parkway.
• A subject stole two half pints of Jim Beam whiskey from a business at 5:35 p.m. on June 11 in the 600 block of Post Drive.
• A 40-year-old Sterling man was arrested for felony possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine and driving while intoxicated at 3:55 a.m. on June 20 in the 700 block of Elden Street.
• A 46-year-old man with no fixed address was arrested for being drunk in public at 4:32 p.m. on June 18 in the 600 block of Herndon Parkway.
• A 48-year-old man with no fixed address was arrested for being drunk in public at 10:02 a.m. on June 20 in the 200 block of Elden Street.
• A 24-year-old Centreville man was issued a summons for buying alcohol for an underage person, and an 18-year-old Centreville man was issued a summons for underage possession of alcohol, at 11:45 p.m. on June 22 in the 100 block of Spring Street. 

RUNNYMEDE DISTRICT
• The victim reported being assaulted by an acquaintance a week ago at 4 p.m. on June 22 in the 1000 block of Park Avenue.
• The victim reported being assaulted by an acquaintance at 10:26 p.m. on June 23 in the 1100 block of Whitworth Court.
• Graffiti was reported found in the area at 2:10 p.m. on June 21 in the 700 block of Lynn Street.

CENTER DISTRICT
• The victim reported being assaulted by an unknown subject in the McDonald’s drive-thru line at 2:31 a.m. on June 21 in the 1000 block of Elden Street.
• The rear window of a parked vehicle was reported damaged between 2 a.m. on 5 p.m. on June 21 in the 1200 block of Elden Street.
• A 34-year-old Herndon woman was arrested for cashing a bad check at 8 a.m. on June 23 in the 1200 block of Elden Street. 

OTHER INCIDENTS
• A 30-year-old Herndon man was arrested for driving while intoxicated at 2:38 a.m. on June 21 in the 1000 block of Elden Street.
• A 30-year-old Herndon man was arrested for driving while intoxicated at 3:17 a.m. on June 23 in the 1000 block of Ferndale Avenue.
• Herndon Police reported the following traffic incidents from June 18-24: three incidents of reckless driving, three incidents of driving under the influence, 41 incidents of speeding, three incidents of no operator’s license, one incident of driving while on a suspended or revoked license, and seven incidents of expired or no Town of Herndon sticker.
