Herndon Police Report - June 13-19

Town of Herndon police reported the following incidents from June 13 through June 19, 2011:

BRUIN DISTRICT
• Charles Meline, 46, of Herndon, was arrested for alleged assault at 12:47 p.m. on June 15 in the 300 block of Holly Court.
• Supartini Briscoe, 37, of Herndon, was arrested for alleged assault at 6:07 a.m. on June 15 in the 2100 block of Wilkes Court.
• An iPhone 4 was reported stolen between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. on June 13 in the 12000 block of Worldgate Drive.
• Noel Portillo Sosa, 27, of Herndon, was arrested for alleged drunk in public at 4:15 p.m. on June 19 in the 600 block of Center Street.
• A vehicle door lock was punched, though no entry was gained, at 7:51 a.m. on June 16 in the 800 block of Alabama Drive.
• A light pole was reported damaged at 12:54 a.m. on June 17 in the 500 block of Florida Avenue.
• A parked vehicle was reported scratched between 4 p.m. on June 15 and 11:20 a.m. on June 17 in the 12000 block of Worldgate Drive.
• Ronnie McCray, 50, of Arlington, was arrested for alleged stalking and disorderly conduct at 11:09 p.m. on June 14 in the 600 block of Center Street.

GOLF COURSE DISTRICT
• A noise complaint was reported at 10:43 a.m. on June 18 in the 1200 block of Summerfield Drive.

HALEY SMITH DISTRICT
• The victim reported being assaulted by an acquaintance at 11:53 p.m. on June 17 in the 100 block of Laurel Way.
• The victim reported an unknown subject threatening them and damaging their vehicle at 12:39 p.m. on June 18 in the 200 block of Elden Street.
• A juvenile subject attempted to shoplift items from a business at 4:20 p.m. on June 13 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• The victim reported their purse was stolen from their place of employment between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. on June 16 in the 300 block of Elden Street.
• The victim reported their purse stolen at 4:35 p.m. on June 17 in the 500 block of Grove Street.
• The victim reported giving an unknown subject an undisclosed amount of money for a cut of the subject’s lottery winnings at 7:42 p.m. on June 14 in the 300 block of Herndon Parkway. The subject took the money and fled.
• It was reported that a money order was called into a business but the transaction was never paid for at 5:30 p.m. on June 17 in the 400 block of Elden Street.

RUNNYMEDE DISTRICT
• Someone attempted to enter through the front door of a residence between 10:30 a.m. June 11 and 3:30 p.m. on June 13 in the 1000 block of Monroe Street.
• The victim returned home to find someone had gained entry into their residence at 6:45 p.m. on June 13 in the 1000 block of Monroe Street. Nothing was reported stolen.
• The victim reported an iPad stolen from inside their residence between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on June 1 in the 1100 block of Monroe Street.
• The victim arrived home and discovered an unknown person running out the back door of their residence at 10:15 p.m. on June 15 in the 1000 block of Queens Court. A GPS unit was reported stolen.
• The victim reported being assaulted by an acquaintance at 8:01 p.m. on June 13 in the 1100 block of Lopez Lane.
• Jamie Navarro Munoz, 20, of Sterling, was issued a summons for alleged possession of marijuana at 3:04 a.m. on June 13 in the 800 block of Locust Street.
• The victim reported a package was stolen from their mailbox between 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. in the 600 block of Old Hunt Way.
• A credit card machine was reported stolen from a business between midnight and 6 p.m. on May 28 in the 600 block of Spring Street.
• The basement window of a residence was reported damaged between February 1, 2011 and June 13, 2011 in the 900 block of Barton Oaks Place.
• A noise complaint was reported at 7:17 p.m. on June 19 in the 1000 block of Knight Lane.

CENTER DISTRICT
• The victim reported being assaulted by an acquaintance at 5:03 a.m. on June 14 in the 1200 block of Magnolia Lane.
• The victim reported being assaulted by an acquaintance at 2:41 p.m. on June 16 in the 1000 block of Elden Street.
• An unidentified subject was arrested for drunk in public at 9:19 p.m. on June 15 near the intersection of Elden Street and Alabama Drive.
• Carlos Vides, 44, of Reston, was arrested for alleged drunk in public at 5:01 p.m. on June 19 in the 1100 block of Elden Street.
• The victim reported unauthorized charges were placed on their debit card at 11:21 a.m. on June 13 in the 1200 block of Elden street.
• A trespassing was reported at 6:01 p.m. on June 17 in the 1100 block of Elden Street.
• Juvenile subjects lit off fireworks inside a business at 12:27 p.m. on June 18 in the 1000 block of Elden Street.
• A noise complaint was reported at 10:25 p.m. on June 18 in the 1200 block of Wilshire Drive.

OTHER INCIDENTS
• Herndon police reported traffic incidents between June 13 and 19 as follows: two incidents of reckless driving; 38 incidents of speeding; seven incidents of no operators license; one incident of driving on a suspended or revoked license; and 35 incidents of expired or no Town of Herndon sticker.
• Herndon police reported enhanced traffic enforcement for the week of June 13-19 was completed in the 700 block of Dranesville Road, at Herndon Parkway and Dranesville Road, in the 900 block of Locust Street, and the 100 block of Elden Street.
