Herndon Police Report - July 18-24

A person was banned from two residences on Burwick Drive after he was seen kickboxing in the driveway.

Herndon Police reported the following incidents from July 18-24, 2011:

BRUIN DISTRICT
• The victim reported being assaulted by an acquaintance at 8:14 p.m. on July 23 in the 600 block of Alabama Drive.
• The victim reported receiving harassing telephone calls from an acquaintance at 6:56 p.m. on July 24 in the 500 block of Florida Avenue.
• A juvenile male was taken into custody for possession of marijuana and turned over to the custody of the Fairfax County Juvenile Detention Center at 10: 02 p.m. on July 24 in the 700 block of Palmer Drive.

GOLF COURSE DISTRICT
• The victim reported he was robbed by a group of four males while he was walking along Herndon Parkway at 8:47 a.m. on July 24 in the 1200 block of Herndon Parkway.
• The victim reported that various electronic items were stolen from their home on June 26 at 5:43 p.m. on July 19 in the 1400 block of Winterland Court.
• The victim reported being assaulted by an acquaintance at 3:40 p.m. on July 23 in the 1200 block of Springtide Place.
• The victim reported that an unknown person opened a Dish Network account using their personal information at 12:50 p.m. on July 24 in the 600 block of Clearwater Court.

HALEY SMITH DISTRICT
• The victim reported being assaulted by an acquaintance at 1:06 a.m. on July 12 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• Naqash Arshad, 20, of Herndon, was arrested for alleged larceny, underage possession of alcohol and drunk in public at 12:36 p.m. on July 18 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• The victim reported that she cashed a check for an acquaintance which was later returned by the bank for insufficient funds at 1:20 p.m. on July 20 in the 200 block of Spring Street.
• The victim reported being assaulted by an acquaintance at 10:57 p.m. on July 20 in the 100 block of Laurel Way.
• The victim reported being assaulted by a family member at 11:58 p.m. on July 23 in the 200 block of Spring Street.

RUNNYMEDE DISTRICT
• The victim reported that a bicycle had been stolen from their driveway at 8:23 p.m. on July 19 in the 1100 block of Burwick Drive. The bicycle was later recovered at another home in the neighborhood.
• A subject was banned from two addresses on Burwick Drive after he was seen kickboxing in a driveway at 9:09 p.m. on July 19 in the 1100 block of Burwick Drive.
• The victim reported being assaulted by an acquaintance at 10:27 a.m. on July 21 in the 800 block of Moffett Forge Road.
• The victim reported that an unknown person stole loose change and a cell phone from their vehicle at 7:25 a.m. on July 22 in the 600 block of Madison Street.
• Loud noise was heard which was caused by a clown using a loud speaker at a birthday party at 9:05 p.m. on July 23 in the 600 block of Worchestor Street.
• The victim reported that a contractor failed to complete a job after they paid a deposit to the contractor at 1:39 p.m. on July 24 in the 500 block of Merlins Lane.

CENTER DISTRICT
• Domingo Romero Sales, 47, of Herndon, and Antonio Lopez, 45, of no fixed address, were arrested for alleged drunk in public at 4:35 p.m. on July 20 in the 1100 block of Elden Street.
• The victim reported that an unknown person stole their skateboard at 8:46 p.m. on July 21 in the 1200 block of Elden Street.
• Jose Amaya Pineda, 28, and Jimmy Amaya Pineda, 24, both of no fixed address, were arrested for alleged drunk in public at 9:07 p.m. on July 24 in the 1100 block of Elden Street.

OTHER INCIDENTS
• The Herndon Police reported the following traffic incidents: two incidents of reckless driving, 27 incidents of speeding, six incidents of no operators license, one incident of driving while on a suspended or revoked license, and two incidents of expired or no Town of Herndon sticker.
