Herndon Police Report - Jan. 9-15

The Town of Herndon Police Department reported the following incidents from Jan. 9 to Jan. 15, 2012:

BRUIN DISTRICT
• The victim reported being assaulted by an acquaintance at 10:09 p.m. on Jan. 14 in the 13000 block of Worldgate Drive.
• The victim reported an unknown subject using their Social Security number at 10:27 a.m. on Jan. 12 in the 600 block of Stuart Court.
• The victim reported being sold a car by a subject who then took the car back without the victim’s consent at 11:59 p.m. on Jan. 12 in the 2100 block of Raven Tower Court. 

GOLF COURSE DISTRICT
• Rocio Banos Ramirez, 41, of Herndon, was arrested for alleged assault at 4:07 p.m. on Jan. 10 in the 1200 block of Springtide Place.
• The victim reported their laptop and an undisclosed amount of money were stolen from inside their residence in September 2011, at 12:22 p.m. on Jan. 12 in the 1200 block of Springtide Place.
• A noise complaint was reported at 12:56 p.m. on Jan. 10 in the 1300 block of Springtide Place. 

HALEY SMITH DISTRICT
• The victim reported a subject threatened them with an axe after a traffic incident in a parking lot at 5:50 p.m. on Jan. 14 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• The victim reported their cell phone was stolen from their place of business between 3 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Jan. 9 in the 300 block of Elden Street.
• Hind Aboulfaraj, 27, of Reston, was arrested for alleged larceny at 2:45 p.m. on Jan. 13 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• A juvenile subject attempted to shoplift a jacket from a business at 11:06 a.m. on Jan. 14 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• Dillan Celinski, 18, of Herndon, was issued a summons for alleged possession of marijuana at 11:26 p.m. on Jan. 15 near the intersection of Herndon Parkway and Van Buren Street.
• Graffiti was reported found in the area at 8:26 a.m. on Jan. 11 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• Ciro Carvagno, 28, of Napoli, Italy, was arrested for alleged possession of counterfeit goods at 9:49 p.m. on Jan. 9 in the 600 block of Elden Street.
• A subject attempted to pass a counterfeit bill inside a business at 2:55 p.m. on Jan. 12 in the 300 block of Elden Street.
• The victim reported their stolen credit card was used at a business at this location at 5:06 p.m. on Jan. 14 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• A trespassing was reported at 11:06 p.m. on Jan. 15 near the intersection of Herndon Parkway and Van Buren Street. 

RUNNYMEDE DISTRICT
• The victim reported their Xbox memory card was stolen at 2:53 p.m. on Jan. 9 in the 900 block of Branch Drive.
• The victim reported their vehicle was entered between 1 a.m. and 11 p.m. on Jan. 14 and their wallet and GPS were reported stolen in the 600 block of Spring Street.
• A vehicle that was stolen from this address was recovered in Fairfax County at 12:36 a.m. on Jan. 11 in the 400 block of Cavendish Street. 

CENTER DISTRICT
• The victim reported being sexually assaulted by a subject that fled the scene prior to police arrival at 11:20 a.m. on Jan. 9 in the 1000 block of Alabama Drive. 
• The victim reported the windshield of their vehicle was damaged between 6 a.m. and noon on Jan. 13 in the 1200 block of Elden Street.
• A subject damaged the front window of a business at 2:04 p.m. on Jan. 15 in the 1100 block of Elden Street.
• Mario Alvarenga Monge, 26, of no fixed address, was arrested for allegedly being drunk in public at 4:58 p.m. on Jan. 10 in the 1000 block of Lexus Way.
• The victim reported their laptop and camera were stolen from inside their residence in June 2011 at 9:31 p.m. on Jan. 12 in the 1200 block of Elden Street.
• Douglas Thompson, 47, of Herndon, was arrested for allegedly driving on a revoked license at noon on Jan. 12 in the 900 block of Herndon Parkway.
• A trespassing was reported at 4:20 p.m. on Jan. 13 in the 600 block of Dulles Park Court.
• Milton Landaverde Lopez, 19, of Herndon and Felipe Duefins Sanchez, 35 of Hyattsville, MD, were issued a summons for alleged drinking in public at 10:30 p.m. on Jan. 14 in the 600 block of Dulles Park Court. 

OTHER INCIDENTS
• Harith Balala, 30, of Herndon, was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence of drugs and possession of marijuana at 12:43 a.m. on Jan. 14 near the intersection of Park Avenue and Station Street.
• Jorge Montoro Vidarte, 45, of Herndon, was arrested on an alleged outstanding warrant out of Fairfax County at 7:48 a.m. on Jan. 11 in the 1200 block of Elden Street.
• Herndon Police reported the following traffic incidents from Jan. 9-15: one incident of reckless driving, one incident of driving under the influence, 43 incidents of speeding, four incidents of no operators license, four incidents of driving on a suspended or revoked license, and 28 incidents of expired or no Town of Herndon sticker.
