Herndon Police Report - Jan. 31-Feb. 6

Herndon police reported a subject shoplifted eight beers from a business this past week

Town of Herndon Police reported the following incidents from Jan. 31 to Feb. 6, 2011:


GOLF COURSE DISTRICT
• A vehicle was entered and a GPS unit and charger, sunglasses and CDs were reported stolen at 6 a.m. on Feb. 2 in the 1400 block of Winterland Court.
• Maurice Brown, 36, of Gainesville, was issued a summons for alleged possession of marijuana at 11:25 a.m. on Jan. 31 near the intersection of Sterling Road and the Route 28 on ramp.
• Ali Russell, 20, of Herndon, was arrested for alleged destruction of property at 8:07 a.m. on Feb. 1 in the 1100 block of Crestview Drive.
• Two windows of a parked vehicle were reported damaged between midnight and 3:25 p.m. on Feb. 6 near the intersection of Bond Street and Lisa Court.
• An unknown subject reportedly opened an account for a cell phone using the victim’s information at 3:52 p.m. on Jan. 31 in the 800 block of Mosby Hollow Drive.


HALEY SMITH DISTRICT
• The victim reported being assaulted by an acquaintance at 1:08 p.m. on Feb. 5 in the 600 block of Elden Street.
• The victim reported being assaulted by an acquaintance at 6:04 p.m. on Feb. 5 in the 300 block of Elden Street.
• The victim reported two catalytic converters were stolen from their vehicle between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Feb. 1 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• A subject shoplifted a shirt and two six-packs of beer from a business at 4:53 p.m. on Feb. 4 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• Julia Maldonado Contreras, 34, of Reston, was issued a summons for alleged shoplifting at 12:45 p.m. on Feb. 5 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• Wendy Landayerde Membreno, 24, of Herndon, was issued a summons for alleged alteration of price tags at 3:33 p.m. on Feb. 5 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• Danilo Saoccda, 26, of no fixed address, was arrested for alleged drunk in public at 10:39 p.m. on Feb. 5 in the 700 block of Grant Street.
• A business reported receiving harassing phone calls from a subject at 1:13 p.m. on Feb. 1 in the 600 block of Herndon Parkway.
• The victim reported being harassed by an acquaintance at 11:38 a.m. on Feb. 2 in the 100 block of Elden Street.


RUNNYMEDE DISTRICT
• The victim reported being assaulted by an acquaintance at 5:36 p.m. on Feb. 4 in the 900 block of Park Avenue.
• Comonte Noel, 33, of Sterling, was arrested for alleged drunk in public at 2:26 a.m. on Feb. 5 near the intersection of Herndon Parkway and Leona Lane.
• A glass door was found damaged at 5:03 a.m. on Feb. 4 in the 700 block of Lynn Street.
• The victim reported receiving harassing text messages from an unknown subject at 9:13 p.m. on Feb. 2 in the 1000 block of Nicklaus Court.
• A noise complaint was reported at 2:12 p.m. on Feb. 4 in the 1100 block of Criton Street.

CENTER DISTRICT
• The victim reported being assaulted by an acquaintance at 3:52 p.m. on Feb. 6 in the 1200 block of Elden Street.
• The victim reported being assaulted by an acquaintance at 6:21 p.m. on Feb. 6 in the 1200 block of Elden Street.
• Martin Morales, 41, of no fixed address, was arrested for alleged concealment of merchandise, trespassing and drunk in public at 7:05 p.m. on Jan. 31 in the 1000 block of Elden Street.
• A subject shoplifted eight beers from a business at 6:55 p.m. on Feb. 1 in the 1100 block of Elden Street.
• Antonio Romero Rivera, 36, of Herndon, was arrested for alleged drunk in public at 2:50 p.m. on Feb. 4 in the 1000 block of Elden Street.
• Jose Castro Barahona, 24, of no fixed address, was arrested for alleged displaying tags for another vehicle, driving on a suspended license and no town of Herndon sticker at 10:26 a.m. on Feb. 5 in the 1100 block of Elden Street.

OTHER INCIDENTS
• Herndon police reported one incident of reckless driving, 20 incidents of speeding, six incidents of no operators license, three incidents of driving while on a suspended or revoked license and one incident of expired or no Town of Herndon sticker.
