Herndon Police Report: Hurricane Beer, Reese's Cups Reported Stolen

Herndon Police reported a subject stole three six packs and three cans of Hurricane beer, along with several Reese's Peanut Butter Cups on Oct. 30 in the 1100 block of Elden Street.

The Herndon Police Department reported the following incidents from Oct. 29 through Nov. 4, 2012. The following information was supplied by the Herndon Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.  

BRUIN DISTRICT
• A 35-year-old Herndon man was arrested for being drunk in public at 11:35 p.m. on Nov. 4 in the 13000 block of Worldgate Drive.
• The windshield of a parked vehicle was found to have been damaged between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Oct. 31 in the 400 block of Virginia Avenue.
• A noise complaint was reported at 11:36 p.m. on Nov. 4 in the 500 block of Florida Avenue. 

HALEY SMITH DISTRICT
• A subject attempted to shoplift a necklace from a business at 12:24 p.m. on Oct. 31 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• A 26-year-old Herndon man was arrested for shoplifting at 6:44 p.m. on Oct. 31 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• The rear window of a parked vehicle was reported damaged between 11:30 p.m. on Oct. 30 and 12:30 a.m. on Oct. 31 in the 600 block of Elden Street.

RUNNYMEDE DISTRICT
• The victim reported an unknown subject attempted to break into their residence between 4 p.m. on Nov. 1 and 7 p.m. on Nov. 3 in the 900 block of Park Avenue. The subject’s break-in attempt was unsuccessful.
• The victim reported the license plates from their vehicle were stolen between 5 p.m. on Oct. 31 and 9 a.m. on Nov. 2 in the 600 block of Spring Street.

CENTER DISTICT
• A business was entered by an unknown subject between 9:30 p.m. on Oct. 27 and 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 30 and several items, including a TV, hair clippers, Nike sneakers, a Viper car alarm system and a knock-off Louis Vuitton purse were reported stolen in the 1100 block of Elden Street.
• The victim reported being assaulted by an acquaintance at 11:44 p.m. on Oct. 30 in the 1200 block of Alabama Drive.
• The victim reported being assaulted by a subject after a minor traffic incident at 2:43 p.m. on Oct. 31 in the 1100 block of Herndon Parkway.
• A subject shoplifted three cans of Hurricane beer from a business, returned later and stole two six-packs of Hurricane beer and returned once more for another six-pack and several Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, at 10:46 p.m. on Oct. 30 in the 1100 block of Elden Street.
• Two subjects attempted to shoplift packs of gum from a business at 8:29 p.m. on Nov. 3 in the 1200 block of Elden Street.
• A 35-year-old Herndon man was arrested for being drunk in public at 2:57 p.m. on Oct. 29 in the 1000 block of Elden Street.
• A 27-year-old Herndon man was arrested for being drunk in public at 8:02 p.m. on Nov. 3 in the 1000 block of Alabama Drive.

OTHER INCIDENTS
• A 30-year-old Herndon man was arrested for driving while intoxicated at 3:25 p.m. on Nov. 4 near the intersection of Pride Avenue and James Cirone Way.
• Herndon Police reported the following traffic incidents from Oct. 29-Nov. 4: one incident of reckless driving, one incident of driving under the influence, 14 incidents of speeding, one incident of no operators license, two incidents of driving on a suspended or revoked license, and one incident of expired or no Town of Herndon sticker.
