Herndon Police Report: Four Car Break-Ins

The reported the following incidents from July 23 to July 29, 2012. The following information was supplied by the Herndon Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.  

BRUIN DISTRICT
• The victim reported being assaulted by an acquaintance at 1:38 p.m. on July 23 in the 600 block of Spring Street.
• A 21-year-old Herndon man was arrested for assault at 3:50 p.m. on July 24 in the 300 block of Holly Court.
• A 21-year-old Oak Hill man was arrested for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of a schedule 1 drug at 11:31 p.m. on July 25 in the 13000 block of Worldgate Drive.
• The victim reported the lock on their residence and mailbox had been damaged at 6:19 p.m. on July 24 in the 12000 block of Alton Square.
• Graffiti was reported found in the area at 8:30 p.m. on July 25 in the 500 block of Florida Avenue.
• A 19-year-old Herndon man was issued a summons for underage possession of alcohol at 10:38 p.m. on July 27 in the 700 block of Palmer Drive. 

GOLF COURSE DISTRICT
• A fence was found to have been damaged at 2:46 p.m. on July 23 in the 1000 block of Crestview Drive.
• A 23-year-old Ashburn man was arrested for diving on a suspended license at 5;03 p.m. on July 25 in the 1400 block of Bayshire Lane.
• A noise complaint was reported at 12:03 a.m. on July 29 in the 1200 block of Autumn Place. 

HALEY SMITH DISTRICT
• The victim reported their bicycle was stolen at 9:06 p.m. on July 29 in the 400 block of Herndon Parkway.
• A noise complaint was reported at midnight on July 23 in the 700 block of Cordell Way. 

RUNNYMEDE DISTRICT
• The victim reported being assaulted by an acquaintance at 11:40 p.m. on July 29 in the 1000 block of Stanton Park Court.
• The victim reported a ring stolen from their residence between 11:45 a.m. and 8:45 p.m. on July 24 in the 1000 block of Young Avenue.
• An unsecured vehicle was entered between 9 p.m. on July 24 and 7:30 p.m. on July 25 and loose change was reported stolen in the 500 block of Fillmore Avenue.
• An unsecured vehicle was entered between 10 p.m. on July 25 and 6:45 a.m. on July 26 and four CDs were reported stolen in the 800 block of Moffett Forge Road.
• An unsecured vehicle was entered between 6:30 p.m. on July 25 and 8 a.m. on July 26 and loose change was reported stolen in the 700 block of Old Hunt Way.
• An unsecured vehicle was entered between 6:30 p.m. on July 25 and 7 a.m. on July 26 and a gas card was reported stolen in the 1000 block of Park Avenue.
• The victim reported a license plate was stolen from their trailer at 9:36 a.m. on July 28 in the 900 block of Ferndale Avenue.
• The windshield of a parked vehicle was smashed between 7 p.m. on July 27 and 6 a.m. on July 28 in the 1000 block of Boros Court.
• A noise complaint was reported at 11:07 p.m. on July 27 in the 1000 block of Boros Court. 

CENTER DISTRICT
• A 29-year-old Harpers Ferry, WV woman was arrested for robbery and threat to bomb at 9:54 p.m. on July 27 in the 1100 block of Elden Street.
• A business was broken into between 12:08 a.m. and 12:35 a.m. on July 234 and an undisclosed amount of cash was stolen from the cash register in the 1100 block of Elden Street.
• The victim reported their iPod was stolen from their residence at 6:17 p.m. on July 29 in the 900 block of Broad Oaks Drive.
• The rear windshield of a parked vehicle was reported smashed between 10 p.m. on July 27 and 10 a.m. on July 28 in the 1200 block of Elden Street.
• A 21-year-old Herndon man was issued a summons for noise violation at 1:55 a.m. on July 27 in the 1200 block of Elden Street.
• A 42-year-old Sterling man was arrested for possessing false identification at 5:52 p.m. on July 26 near the intersection of Dulles Place and Dulles Court. 

OTHER INCIDENTS
• A 28-year-old Herndon woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated at 2:04 a.m. on July 26 near the intersection of Summerfield Drive and Autumn Place.
• A 42-year-old Millstone Township, NJ man was arrested for driving while intoxicated at 1:48 a.m. on July 27 in the 500 block of Elden Street.
• A 40-year-old Manassas Park man was arrested for driving while intoxicated at 1:43 a.m. on July 29 in the 1000 block of Elden Street.
• A 20-year-old Herndon man was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Fairfax County at 9:29 p.m. on July 25 in the 700 block of Park Avenue.
• A 26-year-old Washington, DC man was arrested on forgery/uttering charges dating back to a March 2010 case at 2:37 p.m. on July 23 in the 300 block of Herndon Parkway.
• The Herndon Police reported the following traffic incidents from July 23-29: three incidents of driving under the influence, 54 incidents of speeding, seven incidents of no operators license, three incidents of driving on a suspended or revoked license, and 12 incidents of expired or no Town of Herndon sticker.
