Herndon Police Report: Four Incidents of Drunk in Public

The Herndon Police Department reported the following incidents from March 4 through March 10, 2013. The following information was supplied by the Herndon Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction. 

BRUIN DISTRICT
• A 40-year-old Herndon man was arrested for assault and larceny at 6:30 p.m. on March 10 in the 700 block of Birch Court.
• The victim reported their vehicle was broken into between 6 p.m. on March 4 and 9 a.m. on March 5 and sunglasses and tools were reported stolen near the intersection of Alton Square and Highcourt Lane.
• The victim reported their vehicle was entered between 9:30 p.m. on March 7 and 9 a.m. on March 8 and sunglasses and a laptop computer were reported stolen near the intersection of Wilkes Way and Wilkes Court.
• The victim reported their fence was damaged by a baseball at 3:25 p.m. on March 10 in the 600 block of Herndon Parkway.
• A noise complaint was reported at 11:56 p.m. on March 10 in the 700 block of Hemlock Court. 

GOLF COURSE DISTRICT
• The victim reported their residence was broken into between 11:30 a.m. on Feb. 26 and 11:30 a.m. on March 5 in the 1300 block of Wexford Court. Nothing was reported missing.
• The victim reported being assaulted by an acquaintance at 11:45 p.m. on March 6 in the 1000 block of Jeff Ryan Drive.
• The victim reported being assaulted by an acquaintance at 9 p.m. on march 8 in the 1300 block of Springtide Place.
• A tennis net was cut between 2:15 p.m. on March 9 and 2:15 p.m. on March 10 in the 1200 block of Herndon Parkway. 

HALEY SMITH DISTRICT
• The victim reported being assaulted by an acquaintance at 3:20 p.m. on March 9 in the 400 block of Van Buren Street.
• The victim reported being assaulted by an acquaintance at 7:49 a.m. on March 10 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• A 52-year-old Great Falls woman was issued a summons for larceny at 1:12 p.m. on March 5 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• The victim reported their bicycle was stolen between 4 p.m. and 5:15 p.m. on March 5 in the 300 block of Elden Street. 

RUNNYMEDE DISTRICT
• A 22-year-old Reston woman was arrested for assault on a law enforcement officer, disorderly conduct and drunk in public at 11:26 p.m. on March 9 in the 600 block of Spring Street.
• The victim reported being assaulted by an acquaintance at 4:52 a.m. on March 10 in the 400 block of Madison Street.
• A vehicle was reported stolen from the 700 block of Monroe Street and was alter recovered in the 1000 block of Elden Street at 9:13 p.m. on March 8.
• A 21-year-old Reston man was issued a summons for possession of marijuana and contributing to the delinquency of a minor at 11:32 p.m. on March 8 in the 800 block of Elden Street.
• An 18-year-old Herndon woman was arrested for possession of marijuana, possession of a schedule II drug, and possession of alcohol by a person under 21 years old at 12:30 a.m. on March 9 near the intersection of Elden and Spruce streets. 

CENTER DISTRICT
• The victim reported being assaulted by two unknown subjects that stole a passport, two credit cards and an undisclosed amount of cash from the victim before leaving the scene at 2:28 a.m. on March 9 near the intersection of Lexus Way and Alabama Drive.
• The victim reported being assaulted by a subject inside a restaurant at 1:30 a.m. on March 9 in the 1000 block of Elden Street.
• A juvenile subject attempted to shoplift merchandise from a business at 11:56 a.m. on Mach 5 in the 1200 block of Elden Street.
• Two victims reported their wallets were stolen from their offices at a business at 1 p.m. on March 8 in the 900 block of Herndon Parkway.
• A 24-year-old Herndon man was arrested for being drunk in public at 11:38 p.m. on March 9 in the 1000 block of Elden Street.
• A 29-year-old Herndon man was arrested for disorderly conduct and being drunk in public at 11:44 p.m. on March 9 in the 1000 block of Elden Street.
• A 23-year-old Herndon man was arrested for being drunk in public at 12:12 a.m. on March 10 in the 1000 block of Elden Street.
• The door to a business was damaged by a subject trying to gain entry after hours at 1:25 a.m. on March 4 in the 1100 block of Elden Street.
• A 22-year-old Herndon man was arrested for forging a public document, driving on a suspended license, and providing false identification to law enforcement at 9:43 p.m. on March 7 in the 1100 block of Elden Street.
• A trespassing was reported at 6:38 p.m. on March 7 in the 1100 block of Elden Street.
• A 51-year-old Herndon man was issued a summons for urinating in public at 10:15 p.m. on March 10 in the 1200 block of Elden Street.
• A 35-year-old Herndon man was arrested for driving while intoxicated at 1:54 a.m. on March 10 in the 1100 block of Elden Street.
• A 31-year-old Sterling man was arrested for driving while intoxicated at 1:57 a.m. on March 10 in the 1100 block of Crestview Drive. 

OTHER INCIDENTS
• A 55-year-old Sterling man was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Leesburg at 9:51 a.m. on March 4 in the 900 block of Crestview Drive.
• An 18-year-old Herndon man was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Fairfax County at 2:13 p.m. on March 7 in the 1100 block of Shannon Place.
• Herndon Police reported the following traffic incidents from March 4-10: two incidents of reckless driving, two incidents of driving under the influence, 30 incidents of speeding, seven incidents of driving while on a suspended or revoked license, and 11 incidents of expired or no Town of Herndon sticker.
