Herndon Police Report - Feb. 6-12

The Herndon Police Department reported the following incidents from Feb. 6 through Feb. 12, 2012: 

BRUIN DISTRICT
• Ernesto Alas Ramirez, 21, of Herndon, was arrested for alleged assault on a law enforcement officer and being drunk in public at 11:32 p.m. on Feb. 7 in the 400 block of Arkansas Avenue.
• The victim reported being assaulted by an acquaintance at 12:51 p.m. on Feb. 8 in the 13000 block of Worldgate Drive.
• The victim reported being assaulted by an acquaintance at 8:07 p.m. on Feb. 10 in the 600 block of Center Street.
• The victim reported an acquaintance had withdrawn an undisclosed amount of money from their bank account without their knowledge over a two year period at 2:18 p.m. on Feb. 6 in the 700 block of Hemlock Court. 

GOLF COURSE DISTRICT
• No incidents reported. 

HALEY SMITH DISTRICT
• The victim reported a pair of sunglasses were stolen from their shopping cart at 6:23 p.m. on Feb. 6 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• A juvenile subject attempted to shoplift items from a business at 2:53 p.m. on Feb. 7 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• A subject cashed a fraudulent check at a business at 2:33 p.m. on Feb. 8 in the 700 block of Grant Street.
• The victim reported seeing an unknown male subject exposing himself outside the pool area of a hotel at 9:51 p.m. on Feb. 9 in the 100 block of Spring Street.
• The victim reported seeing an unknown male subject exposing himself in the parking lot of a hotel at 10:52 p.m. on Feb. 9 in the 200 block of Elden Street.
• The victim reported being scammed out of an undisclosed amount of money after a subject claimed he’d hire her at a new business he was having her assist him in starting up at 1:20 a.m. on Feb. 10 in the 400 block of Reneau Way.

RUNNYMEDE DISTRICT
• The victim reported being assaulted by an acquaintance at 11:33 a.m. on Feb. 10 in the 800 block of Ferndale Avenue.
• Graffiti was reported found in the area at 9:19 a.m. on Feb. 8 in the 700 block of Lynn Street.
• Nathaneal Blackmon, 18, of Herndon, was issued a summons for allegedly being in possession of an open container while operating a vehicle at 12:39 a.m. on Feb. 9 in the 1300 block of Grant Street.
• A noise complaint was reported at 5:26 p.m. on Feb. 9 in the 1000 block of Kings Court. 

CENTER DISTRICT
• The victim reported their vehicle was entered between 6:45 p.m. on Feb. 8 and 8:16 a.m. on Feb. 9 and their cell phone charger and vehicle registration were stolen in the 1200 block of Elden Street.
• Victor Palma, 46, of no fixed address, was arrested for allegedly being drunk in public at 2:19 p.m. on Feb. 6 in the 1200 block of Elden Street. 

OTHER INCIDENTS
• The Herndon Police reported the following traffic incidents from Feb. 6-12, 2012: two incidents of reckless driving, 42 incidents of speeding, two incidents of no operator’s license, three incidents of driving while on a suspended or revoked license and 14 incidents of expired or no Town of Herndon sticker.
