Herndon Police Report - Feb. 14-20

Multiple car windows were reported damaged in this week's police report

Herndon Police reported the following incidents from Feb. 14-20, 2011:

 
BRUIN DISTRICT
• Jose Martinez, 20, of Woodbridge, was arrested for alleged grand larceny, malicious wounding, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, abduction and burglary after an incident that occurred on Feb. 14 in the 600 block of Center Street. He was arrested at 6:11 p.m. on Feb. 18.
• The victim reported an acquaintance had stolen their laptop computer at 10:01 a.m. on Feb. 15 in the 400 block of Virginia Avenue.
• A subject received a ride in a taxi and fled the cab without paying their fare at 6:57 p.m. on Feb. 20 in the 500 block of Florida Avenue.
• William Sanchez, 20, of Manassas, was issued a summons for alleged possession of marijuana at 5:49 p.m. on Feb. 15 in the 900 block of Herndon Parkway.
• The rear window of a parked vehicle was reported damaged with a rock between 9:30 p.m. on Feb. 19 and 7 a.m. on Feb. 20 in the 500 block of Florida Avenue.
• The rear window of a parked vehicle was reportedly found damaged at 8 a.m. on Feb. 20 in the 500 block of Virginia Avenue.
• The driver side window of a parked vehicle was reportedly found damaged at 8:53 a.m. on Feb. 20 in the 400 block of Virginia Avenue.
• Keith Gillis, 31, of Herndon, was issued a summons for allegedly providing false identification to law enforcement at 5:49 p.m. on Feb. 15 in the 900 block of Herndon Parkway.


GOLF COURSE DISTRICT
• The victim reported their vehicle was stolen between 6 a.m. and 9 a.m. on Feb. 17 in the 700 block of Fall Place.
• Maria Vallejo, 39, of Herndon, was issued a summons for allegedly having a dog at large at 4:21 p.m. on Feb. 18 in the 800 block of Mosby Hollow Drive.
• A noise complaint was reported at 5:53 p.m. on Feb. 18 in the 1000 block of Crestview Drive.


HALEY SMITH DISTRICT
• Iris Alvarenga Serrano, 26, and Edita Serrano Urbina, 35, both of Herndon, were issued summonses for alleged larceny at 2:25 p.m. on Feb. 19 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• Two subjects were observed attempting to shoplift items from a business at 12:28 p.m. on Feb. 20 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• Jaspal Bhogal, 30, of Herndon, was issued a summons for alleged shoplifting at 2:08 p.m. on Feb. 20 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• Ada Andrade Arias, 29, of Herndon, was arrested for alleged larceny, altering the price of goods and providing false identification to law enforcement at 6:45 p.m. on Feb. 20 in the 400 block of Elden Street.

RUNNYMEDE DISTRICT
• Mario Vanegas, 20, of Herndon, was issued a summons for alleged possession of marijuana, and Ricardo Guevara, 19, of Herndon, was issued a summons for alleged possession with intent to distribute at 8:10 p.m. on Feb. 15 in the 900 block of Barton Oaks Place.

CENTER DISTRICT
• A subject shoplifted vegetables from a business at 5:47 p.m. on Feb. 17 in the 1100 block of Elden Street.
• The victim reported an unknown subject using their information to report income to the IRS at 10:29 a.m. on Feb. 14 in the 600 block of Dulles Park Court.
• The victim reported three subjects using their vehicle without their permission at 12 a.m. on Feb. 20 in the 1000 block of Elden Street.

OTHER INCIDENTS
• Herndon Police reported 47 incidents of speeding, eight incidents of no operators license, one incident of driving while on a suspended or revoked license, and 22 incidents of expired or no Town of Herndon sticker.
