Herndon Police Report: Dirty Diapers, Empty Coronas Thrown at House

The Herndon Police Department reported the following incidents from Sept. 24 through Sept. 30, 2012. The following information was supplied by the Herndon Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.  

BRUIN DISTRICT
• The victim reported being assaulted by an acquaintance at 6:43 a.m. on Sept. 25 in the 500 block of Florida Avenue.
• A 43-year-old Herndon man was arrested for possession of marijuana at 9:11 p.m. on Sept. 26 in the 700 block of Palmer Drive.
• A 25-year-old Herndon man was arrested for being drunk in public at 12:13 a.m. on Sept. 27 in the 800 block of Nash Street.
• A file cabinet inside a church was found damaged at 8 a.m. on Sept. 25 in the 600 block of Spring Street.
• The front door of a residence was found to have been damaged at 2:30 p.m. on Sept. 27 in the 400 block of Virginia Avenue. 

GOLF COURSE DISTRICT
• The victim reported their locker was broken into between 3:55 p.m. and 4:55 p.m. and their pants containing their keys and wallet were reported stolen on Sept. 24 in the 800 block of Ferndale Avenue. The credit cards inside the wallet were found to have been used without authorization later.
• A window of a residence was shot and damaged by a BB gun at 11:52 p.m. on Sept. 27 in the 1100 block of Autumnhaze Court.
• A 28-year-old Lorton man was arrested for driving without a license at 6:52 p.m. on Sept. 29 near the intersection of Herndon Parkway and Wintergreen Lane. 

HALEY SMITH DISTRICT
• A 34-year-old Herndon man was arrested for larceny at 10:12 a.m. on Sept. 27 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• The victim reported their GPS unit and two-way radio was stolen from their unsecured vehicle at 10 a.m. on Sept. 26 in the 700 block of Cordell Way.
• The victim reported their wallet stolen from a cart left in a parking lot at 8:30 a.m. on Sept. 29 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• A subject shoplifted multiple items from a business and exited through a rear door at 8:06 p.m. on Sept. 30 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• A person with unknown information was arrested for being drunk in public at 11:36 p.m. on Sept. 28 in the 700 block of Grant Street.
• A 32-year-old Herndon man was arrested for providing false identification to law enforcement and possession of false identification at 10:09 p.m. on Sept. 24 in the 400 block of Van Buren Street. 

RUNNYMEDE DISTRICT
• Mitt Romney campaign signs were reported damaged on the front lawn of a residence at 9:45 a.m. on Sept. 27 in the 700 block of Grace Street.
• Graffiti was reported found in the area at 11:20 a.m. on Sept. 28 near the intersection of Cavalier Drive and Knight Lane.
• The window of a residence was damaged by a rock thrown by an unknown subject at 2:49 p.m. on Sept. 27 in the 800 block of Third Street.
• A bag of soiled diapers and Corona beer bottles were thrown at a residence at 10:30 p.m. on Sept. 27 in the 900 block of Ballou Street. 

CENTER DISTRICT
• A 37-year-old Herndon man was arrested for being drunk in public at 8:07 p.m. on Sept. 24 in the 1200 block of Elden Street.
• A 22-year-old Herndon man was arrested for being drunk in public at 1:43 a.m. on Sept. 28 in the 1200 block of Elden Street.
• A person with unknown information was arrested for being drunk in public at 2:45 p.m. on Sept. 29 in the 1100 block of Alabama Drive.
• The rear window of a vehicle was reported damaged between 9:30 p.m. on Sept. 25 and 9:15 a.m. on Sept. 26 in the 1200 block of Magnolia Lane.
• A 37-year-old Herndon man was issued a summons for trespassing at 6 p.m. on Sept. 24 in the 1200 block of Elden Street.
• A noise complaint was reported at 10:35 p.m. on Sept. 29 in the 1300 block of Dulles Place. 

OTHER INCIDENTS
• A 19-year-old Herndon man was arrested for driving while intoxicated at 11:35 p.m. on Sept. 28 near the intersection of Herndon Parkway and Sterling Road.
• A 17-year-old Gaithersburg, MD teen was arrested for driving while intoxicated at 2:03 a.m. on Sept. 29 in the 300 block of Elden Street.
• A 36-year-old Manassas man was arrested for driving while intoxicated at 2:51 a.m. on Sept. 29 in the 500 block of Herndon Parkway.
• A 43-year-old Sterling man was arrested for driving while intoxicated at 1:02 a.m. on Sept. 30 in the 900 block of Grant Street.
• The Herndon Police reported the following traffic incidents from Sept. 24-30: three incidents of reckless driving, four incidents of driving under the influence, 19 incidents of speeding, one incident of no operators license, two incidents of driving while on a suspended or revoked license, and 13 incidents of expired or no Town of Herndon sticker.
