Herndon Police Report - Dec. 5-11

A number of people were caught selling alcohol to minors in this week's police report.

The Herndon Police Department reported the following incidents from Dec. 5-11, 2011:

BRUIN DISTRICT
• Flutes and jewelry were reported taken from a residence at 8 p.m. on Dec. 2 in the 600 block of Legacy Pride Drive.
• A window was smashed out of a vehicle at 10:47 p.m. on Dec. 5 in the 13000 block of Worldgate Drive.
• Zsuzsama Maria Simonka, 29, of Ashburn, was charged with allegedly selling alcohol to a person under 21 years old at 6:47 p.m. on Dec. 7 in the 13000 block of Worldgate Drive.
• Anas Farhoud, 20, of Herndon, was arrested and charged with allegedly assaulting an acquaintance at 9:27 p.m. on Dec. 10 in the 2100 block of Wilkes Court. 

GOLF COURSE DISTRICT
• A window was broken at a residence and the suspect was located inside the home at 7:53 a.m. on Dec. 8 in the 1300 block of Mistyvale Street. Karen Lacayo, 41, of Herndon, was arrested and charged with alleged destruction of property and trespassing.
• A window as broken out on a vehicle at 12:30 a.m. on Dec. 11 in the 1200 block of Springtide Place.

HALEY SMITH DISTRICT
• A door was reported damaged at 3 p.m. on Dec. 7 in the 100 block of Elden Street.
• Joseph Hill, 30, of Herndon, was charged with allegedly selling alcohol to a person under 21 years old at 6:16 p.m. on Dec. 7 in the 200 block of Elden Street.
• Siriphab Naepchit, 25, of Fairfax, was charged with allegedly selling alcohol to a person under 21 years old at 7:07 p.m. on Dec. 7 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• A woman’s wallet was reported stolen from a business at 3:05 p.m. on Dec. 11 in the 600 block of Elden Street.
• Latroy Shelton, 36, of Fairfax, was charged with alleged trespassing at 8:18 p.m. on Dec. 11 in the 100 block of Laurel Way. 

RUNNYMEDE DISTRICT
• Police found a person in possession of narcotics while investigating a suspicious vehicle near the intersection of Third Street and Stanton Park Court. Gelder Quintanilla, 29, of Herndon, was charged with alleged possession of cocaine and possession of false identification at 10:04 p.m. on Dec. 6.
• A woman pointed an air soft rifle at two occupants of a vehicle who she was upset with at 4:17 p.m. on Dec. 9 in the 400 block of Madison Street. Karin Anderson, 54, of Herndon, was charged with two counts of allegedly brandishing a weapon.

CENTER DISTRICT
• The victim reported being assaulted by an acquaintance at 6:54 p.m. on Dec. 5 in the 1000 block of Elden Street.
• The victim reported being assaulted by an acquaintance at 6:07 p.m. on Dec. 10 in the 600 block of Dulles Park Court. Karen Perz Lopez, 20, of Herndon was charged with alleged assault.
• Harpreet Sidhu, 41, of Herndon, was charged with allegedly selling alcohol to a person under 21 years old at 5:14 p.m. on Dec. 7 in the 1100 block of Elden Street.
• Antonio Romero Rivera, 37, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with alleged public drunkenness at 7:14 p.m. on Dec. 7 in the 1100 block of Elden Street.
• The victim reported being assaulted by two males at 9:40 p.m. on Dec. 8 in the 1200 block of Elden Street. Two suspects were identified and warrants were obtained. 

OTHER INCIDENTS
• A juvenile male, of Herndon, was taken into custody for an outstanding felony warrant out of Fairfax County at 12:21 p.m. on Dec. 7 in the 800 block of Park Avenue.
• Herndon Police reported the following traffic incidents from Dec. 5-11: two incidents of reckless driving, 24 incidents of speeding, five incidents of no operators license, two incidents of driving while on a suspended or revoked license, and 20 incidents of expired or no Town of Herndon sticker.
