Herndon Police Report - Dec. 12-18

A man lost his wallet and cell phone after agreeing to exchange them with a man who claimed to have more money in his wallet. The wallet he traded his own for had no money in it.

The Herndon Police Department reported the following incidents from Dec. 12 through Dec. 18, 2011:

BRUIN DISTRICT
• A tire was reported stolen from a parked vehicle between 11 a.m. on Dec. 17 and 11:30 a.m. on Dec. 18 in the 500 block of Florida Avenue.
• The victim reported an unknown subject stole his wallet from a locker between 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 17 in the 13000 block of Worldgate Drive.
• A juvenile subject was found to be drunk in public at 12:19 a.m. on Dec. 18 in the 500 block of Florida Avenue.
• Anas Farhoud, 20, of Herndon, was arrested for allegedly violating a protective order at 12:19 p.m. on Dec. 13 in the 2100 block of Wilkes Court.
• A noise complaint was reported at 1:04 a.m. on Dec. 17 in the 700 block of Lions Pride Drive. 

GOLF COURSE DISTRICT
• The victim reported being assaulted by an acquaintance at 9:50 p.m. on Dec. 13 in the 1200 block of Springtide Place.
• The victim reported being assaulted by an acquaintance at 4:47 p.m. on Dec. 16 in the 1200 block of Springtide Place.

HALEY SMITH DISTRICT
• The victim reported being assaulted by an acquaintance at 11:45 p.m. on Dec. 13 near the intersection of Jonquil Lane and Herndon Mill Circle.
• Maria Canales, 30, of Herndon, was arrested for alleged assault at 4:18 a.m. on Dec. 18 in the 300 block of Reneau Way.
• Nathan Jordan, 21, of Alexandria, was issued a summons for alleged larceny at 5:49 p.m. on Dec. 15 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• Mark Nicholas, 26, of Pineland, SC, was arrested for alleged concealment of merchandise at 7:34 p.m. on Dec. 18 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• Malaivan Hollingsworth, 56, of Sterling, was issued a summons for alleged concealment of merchandise at 7:34 p.m. on Dec. 18 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• Michael Lujan, 30, of Reston, was arrested for alleged drunk in public at 10:26 p.m. on Dec. 14 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• Juan Mancia, 34, of no fixed address, was arrested for alleged drunk in pubic and destruction of property at 10:45 p.m. on Dec. 16 in the 600 block of Elden Street.
• The victim reported an acquaintance broke the windshield of their vehicle with a shovel at 1:13 a.m. on Dec. 17 in the 700 block of Cordell Way.
• A trespassing was reported at 4:38 a.m. on Dec. 13 in the 200 block of Elden Street. 

RUNNYMEDE DISTRICT
• Jorge Reyes, 24, of Herndon, was arrested for alleged assault at 6:27 p.m. on Dec. 12 in the 900 block of Branch Drive.
• It was reported that a subject left a restaurant without paying their bill at 9:02 p.m. on Dec. 14 in the 700 block of Station Street.
• The victim reported an acquaintance broke a vase inside their residence at 4:20 p.m. on Dec. 17 in the 900 block of Ferndale Avenue.
• Several juvenile subjects were found to have been consuming alcohol at 10:59 p.m. on Dec. 17 in the 800 block of Station Street.

CENTER DISTRICT
•  Marta Chicas Gomez, 25, of Herndon, was arrested for alleged assault at 12:02 a.m. on Dec. 13 in the 1200 block of Elden Street.
• The victim reported giving his wallet, which contained an undisclosed amount of money, along with his cell phone, to an unknown subject in exchange for the subject’s wallet, which allegedly contained a greater amount of money. There was no real money in the unknown subject’s wallet. The incident was reported at 12:37 p.m. on Dec. 12 in the 1100 block of Herndon Parkway.
• The victim reported their bicycle stolen from outside their hotel room between 3 p.m. and 4:25 p.m. on Dec. 15 in the 1000 block of Elden Street. 

OTHER INCIDENTS
• Sarah White, 27, of Sterling, was arrested on an alleged outstanding warrant out of Arlington County at 12:27 a.m. on Dec. 14 in the 13000 block of Worldgate Drive.
• Herndon Police reported the following traffic incidents from Dec. 12-18: three incidents of reckless driving, 65 incidents of speeding, three incidents of no operators license, two incidents of driving while on a suspended or revoked license, and 40 incidents of expired or no Town of Herndon sticker.
