Herndon Police Report: Bank Window Reported Damaged

The window of a bank in the 1000 block of Elden Street was reported to have been damaged sometime between Dec. 2012 and Feb. 14.

The Herndon Police Department reported the following incidents from Feb. 11 through Feb. 17, 2013. The following information was supplied by the Herndon Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.  

BRUIN DISTRICT
• The victim reported that between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. their residence was entered and two iPads, a laptop and several pieces of jewelry were reported stolen on Feb. 12 in the 700 block of Archer Court.
• A 20-year-old Reston woman was arrested for assault at 11:56 p.m. on Feb. 16 in the 13000 block of Worldgate Drive. 

HALEY SMITH DISTRICT
• A subject was observed shoplifting a baby monitor from a business at 3:22 p.m. on Feb. 11 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• A subject attempted to shoplift earrings from a business sat 11:17 a.m. on Feb. 16 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• A subject attempted to shoplift lip balm from a business at 2:09 p.m. on Feb. 16 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• An unknown subject opened an account with a bank and is reportedly having money from a business account transferred into their account fraudulently at 9:35 a.m. on Feb. 16 in the 600 block of Elden Street.

RUNNYMEDE DISTRICT
• Graffiti was found in the area at 6:58 p.m. on Feb. 12 near the intersection of Old Hunt Way and Crest Drive.
• Graffiti was found in the area at 11:30 a.m. on Feb. 13 in the 600 block of Old Hunt Way.
• Graffiti was found in the area at 5:28 p.m. on Feb. 13 in the 900 block of Ashburn Street. 

CENTER DISTRICT
• The victim reported being assaulted by a subject at 5:38 p.m. on Feb. 12 in the 1000 block of Elden Street.
• The victim reported their cell phone was stolen by a subject inside a business at 4:58 p.m. on Feb. 14 in the 1000 block of Elden Street.
• Three subjects attempted to shoplift beer from a business at 5:56 p.m. on Feb. 14 in the 1200 block of Elden Street.
• The window of a bank was found to have been damaged between mid-December and Feb. 14 in the 1000 block of Elden Street. The damage was reported at 12:02 p.m. on Feb. 15.
• An 18-year-old Herndon man was issued a summons for possession of alcohol by a person under 21 years of age at 2:48 a.m. on Feb. 11 in the 1000 block of Elden Street.
• A 37-year-old Fairfax man was arrested for trespassing at 9:42 a.m. on Feb. 13 in the 1200 block of Elden Street.
• A 37-year-old Fairfax man was arrested for trespassing at 11:36 a.m. on Feb. 13 in the 1200 block of Elden Street.
• A trespassing was reported at 8:39 a.m. on Feb. 15 in the 1200 block of Elden Street.
• A 21-year-old Centreville man was issued a summons for contributing to the delinquency of a minor at 2:36 a.m. on Feb. 16 in the 1000 block of Elden Street.

OTHER INCIDENTS
• A 29-year-old Herndon man was arrested for driving while intoxicated at 10:08 p.m. on Feb. 11 near the intersection of Sterling Road and Sterling Court.
• A 45-year-old Sterling man was arrested for driving while intoxicated at 10:48 p.m. on Feb. 15 in the 1000 block of Elden Street.
• An 18-year-old Reston man was arrested for possession of marijuana on Feb. 12 in the 300 block of Herndon Parkway after a party in the 100 block of Fortnightly Boulevard was reported on Nov. 16, 2012.
• The Herndon Police Department reported the following traffic incidents from Feb. 11-17: one incidents of reckless driving, two incidents of driving under the influence, 60 incidents of speeding, three incidents of driving while on a suspended or revoked license, and 31 incidents of expired or no Town of Herndon sticker.
