Herndon Police Report - August 8-14
Police found four juveniles in an unoccupied residence in the 600 block of Oak Street
Herndon Police reported the following incidents from Aug. 8 through Aug. 14, 2011:
BRUIN DISTRICT
• A wallet containing various items and an undisclosed amount of cash was reported stolen from an unsecured vehicle at 4:31 p.m. on Aug. 9 in the 400 block of Magnolia Court.
• Warren Maxwell, 19, of Herndon, was arrested for alleged grand larceny at 12:06 a.m. on Aug. 13 in the 13000 block of Worldgate Drive.
• Four juveniles were found in an unoccupied residence and were turned over to their guardians at 6:02 p.m. on Aug. 9 in the 600 block of Oak Street.
• The victim reported being assaulted by an acquaintance at 3:18 p.m. on Aug. 10 in the 600 block of Center Street.
• The victim reported being assaulted by acquaintance at 12:14 a.m. on Aug. 12 in the 500 block of Florida Avenue.
GOLF COURSE DISTRICT
• A victim reported they were robbed by two unknown males and various items were stolen from his wallet at 11:04 p.m. on Aug. 11 in the 1200 block of Autumn Place. The suspects were described as two black males in their early teens, 150-170 pounds, wearing white T-shirts and dark jeans. One of them wore a black baseball cap with white stitching.
• The victim reported being assaulted by an acquaintance at 2:07 p.m. on Aug. 8 in the 500 block of Early Fall Court.
• Rodolfo Lopez Sosa, 30, of Herndon, was arrested for alleged assault at 10:35 p.m. on Aug. 1300 block of Wexford Court.
• The victim reported being assaulted by an acquaintance at 9:31 p.m. on Aug. 14 in the 1200 block of Bond Street.
• A bicycle was reported stolen as it was left unsecured at a bike rack at 6:40 p.m. on Aug. 8 in the 800 block of Ferndale Avenue.
• Santos Portillo Senteno, 32, of Herndon, was arrested for alleged drinking in public and providing false information to law enforcement at 5:38 p.m. on Aug. 12 in the 1000 block of Crestview Drive.

HALEY SMITH DISTRICT
• Jamar Brown, 26, of Vienna, was arrested for alleged shoplifting at 5:09 p.m. on Aug. 10 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• Lasheka Bushrod, 22, of Herndon, was arrested for alleged shoplifting at 8:32 p.m. on Aug. 11 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• A cell phone was left in the bathroom of a restaurant and was reported stolen at 3:38 p.m. on Aug. 12 in the 700 block of Elden Street.
• Moises Castro Argueta, 23, of Reston, was arrested for alleged drunk in public at 6:24 a.m. on Aug. 11 in the 700 block of Cordell Way.
• Jorge Reyes, 24, of Herndon, was arrested for alleged drunk in public at 6:38 a.m. on Aug. 14 in the 600 block of Elden Street.
RUNNYMEDE DISTRICT
• A juvenile was found shoplifting and was turned over to a guardian at 4:38 p.m. on Aug. 8 in the 700 block of Lynn Street.
• William Bergin, 24, of Reston, was arrested for alleged drunk in public at 1:39 a.m. on Aug. 14 in the 700 block of Elden Street.
• Three juveniles were found to be smoking suspected marijuana and were turned over to their guardians at 5:30 p.m. on Aug. 9 in the 900 block of Barton Oaks Place.

CENTER DISTRICT
• Jose Alvarenga Cruz, 26, of Herndon, was arrested for alleged drunk in public and destruction of property at 10:28 p.m. on Aug. 8 in the 1200 block of Alabama Drive.
• Jorge Anticona, 24, of Herndon, was arrested for alleged drunk in public at 5:01 a.m. on Aug. 14 in the 1100 block of Elden Street.
• A victim reported that services were not paid for by a female subject at 6:39 p.m. on Aug. 8 in the 1100 block of Elden Street.
• A victim reported a stolen cell phone after it was left on the counter of a business at 9:34 p.m. on Aug. 10 in the 1100 block of Elden Street.
• Richard Ray, 26, and Ashley Tyree, 19, were charged with alleged possession of marijuana at 9:11 a.m. on Aug. 12 in the 1100 block of Herndon Parkway.
OTHER INCIDENTS
• Herndon Police reported the following traffic incidents from Aug. 8-14: one incident of reckless driving, four incidents of speeding, six incidents of no operators license, three incidents of driving while on a suspended or revoked license, and seven incidents of expired or no Town of Herndon sticker.
• A Fairfax County warrant was served to Wasim Ahmed, 26, of Herndon, for alleged assault at 10:22 p.m. on Aug. 13 in the 800 block of Locust Street.
• A Fairfax County warrant was served to Tahir Imran, 31, of Herndon for alleged assault at 9:31 p.m. on Aug. 13 in the 800 block of Locust Street.
