Herndon Police Report - Aug 15-21
Herndon Police reported a stroller was stolen from a balcony
Herndon Police reported the following incidents from Aug. 15-21, 2011:
BRUIN DISTRICT
• A cell phone was reported stolen as it was left unattended at 8:50 p.m. on Aug. 17 in the 13000 block of Worldgate Drive.
• Money was wired for a vehicle through a website but the vehicle never arrived at 3:27 p.m. on Aug. 17 in the 600 block of Legacy Pride Drive.
• A stroller was reported stolen from a balcony at 10 a.m. on Aug. 21 in the 2100 block of Raven Tower Court.
GOLF COURSE DISTRICT
• Jennyfer Alfaro, 19, of Reston, Laura Hernandez, 19, of Reston, and Katie Cupido, 19, of Herndon, were arrested for alleged felony assault by mob at 4:56 a.m. on Aug. 21 in the 700 block of Gentle Breeze Court.
• The victim reported being assaulted four days prior by an acquaintance at 1:03 p.m. on Aug. 17 in the 1200 block of Herndon Parkway.

HALEY SMITH DISTRICT
• John Stark, 48, and Vincent Surface, 45, of Great Falls, were arrested for alleged drunk in public at 5:10 p.m. on Aug. 18 in the 300 block of Elden Street.
• Andrew Shevis, 40, of Reston, was arrested for alleged drunk in public at 1:48 a.m. on Aug. 19 in the 500 block of Elden Street.
RUNNYMEDE DISTRICT
• A victim reported being assaulted by an acquaintance at 2:39 p.m. on Aug. 15 in the 900 block of Park Avenue.
• A victim reported being assaulted by an acquaintance at 9:58 p.m. on Aug. 20 in the 900 block of Park Avenue.
• Jonathan Beltran, 18, of Herndon, was arrested for alleged possession with intent to distribute marijuana; and William Ozycz, 18, of Herndon, was arrested for alleged possession of marijuana and false identification, at 12:05 a.m. on Aug. 17 in the 1300 block of Grant Street.
• Luis Alberto Asencio, 22, of Herndon, was arrested for allegedly providing false information to a law enforcement officer, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and providing an alcoholic beverage to a minor, who was turned over to a guardian for underage possession of alcohol, at 12:32 a.m. on Aug. 19 in the 800 block of Park Avenue.
• A victim reported that someone obtained credit card information and made purchases fraudulently at 11:03 a.m. on Aug. 20 in the 1000 block of Monroe Street.
• Marco Garcia Castro, 44, of Herndon, was arrested for alleged urinating in public at 2:07 a.m. on Aug. 21 in the 700 block of Lynn Street.

CENTER DISTRICT
• David Ashley, 36, of Herndon, was arrested for alleged drunk in public at 8:50 p.m. on Aug 17 in the 100 block of Elden Street.
• Camaliel Rivera Aleman, 32, of Herndon, was arrested for alleged urinating in public at 2:07 a.m. on Aug. 21 in the 700 block of Lynn Street.
• A cell phone was reported stolen shortly after it was left unattended on a counter at 5:30 p.m. on Aug. 19 in the 1200 block of Elden Street.
• A victim reported being assaulted by an acquaintance at 7:08 p.m. on Aug. 20 in the 1000 block of Alabama Drive.
• A report was received that two groups had a verbal altercation and one subject displayed a knife. All of the subjects were gone when police arrived; at 9:48 p.m. on Aug. 21 in the 900 block of Park Avenue.
OTHER INCIDENTS
• Ethan McLeod, 18, of Herndon, was arrested for alleged driving while intoxicated at 12:35 a.m. on Aug. 16 in the 900 block of Park Avenue.
• A Fairfax County warrant was served on Vincent Surface, 45, of Great Falls, for assault at 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 18 in the 300 block of Elden Street.
• Fairfax County warrants were served fro William Ozycz, 18, of Herndon for possession of marijuana, resisting arrest, and underage possession of alcohol by consumption at 12:05 a.m. on Aug. 17 in the 1300 block of Grant Street.
• Herndon Police reported the following traffic incidents from Aug. 15-21, 2011: three incidents of reckless driving; one incident of driving under the influence; 21 incidents of speeding; four incidents of no operators license; three incidents of driving on a suspended or revoked license; and 10 incidents of expired or no Town of Herndon sticker.
