Herndon Police Report - April 4-11

Town of Herndon police reported the following incidents from April 4 through April 11, 2011:

BRUIN DISTRICT
• The homeowner reported his decorative lights were pulled from a tree and damaged between 12:01 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. on April 4 in the 700 block of Nash Street.

GOLF COURSE DISTRICT
• Jose Urbina, 55, of Herndon, was arrested for alleged burglary and destruction of property, which occurred at 2:36 p.m. on April 5 in the 600 block of Clearwater Court.
• A window of a vehicle was reported damaged between 5 p.m. on April 3 and 5:05 a.m. on April 4 in the 700 block of Tamani Drive.

HALEY SMITH DISTRICT
• James Freeman, 25, of Reston, was charged with alleged shoplifting at 3:39 p.m. on April 4 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• The victim reported two subjects stealing two hand baskets of merchandise at 3:43 p.m. on April 6 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• A purse was reported stolen at 3:30 p.m. on April 8 in the 400 block of Carlisle Drive.
• Pamela Newman, 64, was charged with alleged shoplifting at 12:07 p.m. on April 9 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• A shoplifting was reported by an unknown person at 8:16 p.m. on April 9 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• Fredis Martinez Argueta, 26, of Herndon, was charged with alleged shoplifting at 3:21 p.m. on April 10 in the 400 block of Elden Street.

RUNNYMEDE DISTRICT
• Graffiti was reported found in the area at 9:39 a.m. on April 8 in the 800 block of Van Buren Street.
• The victim reported being assaulted by an acquaintance at 12:35 a.m. on April 9 in the 1000 block of Boros Court.
• The victim reported being assaulted by an acquaintance at 7:13 p.m. on April 9 in the 1100 block of Casper Drive.
• Francisco Amaya Abrego, 25, and Elmer Siguenza Ramirez, 29, both of Hyattsville, MD, were arrested for alleged drunk in public at 12:05 a.m. on April 10 in the 700 block of Grant Street.
• Gelder Quintanilla, 28, of Herndon, was issued a summons for an alleged noise violation at 2:23 a.m. on April 10 in the 1100 block of Casper Drive.

CENTER DISTRICT
• Jose Recinos, 36, of no fixed address, was arrested for alleged drunk in public at 9:32 p.m. on April 4 in the 100 block of Elden Street

OTHER INCIDENTS
• Herndon police reported one incident of reckless driving, 84 incidents of speeding, four incidents of no operators license, two incidents of driving while on a suspended or revoked license and 33 incidents of expired or no Town of Herndon sticker.
