Herndon Police Report - April 30 - May 6

Town of Herndon Police reported the following incidents from April 30 through May 6, 2012:

BRUIN DISTRICT
• The victim reported being assaulted by an acquaintance at 9:34 p.m. on May 4 in the 400 block of Florida Avenue.
• An 18-year-old Herndon man was arrested for malicious wounding and resisting arrest at 6:57 p.m. on May 5 in the 500 block of Florida Avenue.
• A 39-year-old man with no fixed address was arrested for being drunk in public at 12:19 a.m. on May 2 in the 600 block of Center Street.
• Graffiti was reported found in the area at 10:21 a.m. on May 1 in the 500 block of Florida Avenue.
• A noise complaint was reported at 11:37 p.m. on May 1 in the 600 block of Herndon Parkway.
• A noise complaint was reported at 1:16 a.m. on May 4 in the 700 block of Lions Pride Drive.
• A noise complaint was reported at 11:27 p.m. on May 5 in the 700 block of Campbell Way.
• A noise complaint was reported at 11:37 p.m. on May 5 in the 700 block of Palmer Drive.
• A noise complaint was reported at 11:40 p.m. on May 5 in the 300 block of Cherry Court. 

GOLF COURSE DISTRICT
• The victim reported being assaulted by an acquaintance at 6:24 p.m. on May 4 in the 800 block of Ferndale Avenue.
• The victim reported their wallet was stolen at 3:45 p.m. on May 2 in the 1000 block of Jeff Ryan Drive. The wallet was later recovered, missing an undisclosed amount of cash and a credit card.
• The victim reported their laptop was stolen from their vehicle between 8:30 p.m. on April 29 and 5:30 p.m. on May 2 in the 1400 block of Horizon Court.
• A 54-year-old Herndon man was arrested for being drunk in public at 3:59 p.m. on May 5 in the 1000 block of Elden Street. 

HALEY SMITH DISTRICT
• A subject attempted to shoplift an air freshener from a business at 11:33 a.m. on May 3 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• A 39-year-old Herndon woman was issued a summons for larceny at 2:01 p.m. on May 4 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• The victim reported their wallet was stolen from their place of business between 8:15 a.m. and 6:15 p.m. on May 5 in the 100 block of Elden Street.
• A 36-year-old Fairfax man was arrested for being drunk in public at 11:52 a.m. on May 6 in the 300 block of Elden Street.
• Graffiti was reported found in the area at 8:53 a.m. on May 1 in the 600 block of Elden Street.
• The victim reported hearing a noise outside their hotel room window and upon looking outside saw a male subject exposing himself at 11:05 p.m. on May 3 in the 400 block of Herndon Parkway.
• The victim reported the screens from their window and sliding glass door were cut, though no entry was made into their residence, at 5:08 p.m. on May 6 in the 500 block of Van Buren Street.
• The victim reported an unknown male subject attempting to use their information to open different accounts at 6:04 p.m. on May 6 in the 700 block of Tamarack Way. 

RUNNYMEDE DISTRICT
• A 46-year-old Herndon man was arrested for possession of cocaine at 12:55 a.m. on May 3 in the 1100 block of Tway Lane.
• The victim reported their bicycle was stolen from the front of a residence between 11 p.m. on May 3 and 1 a.m. on May 4 in the 800 block of Elden Street.
• Graffiti was reported found in the area at 7 a.m. on May 1 in the 700 block of Elden Street.
• Graffiti was reported found in the area at 5:43 p.m. on May 1 in the 600 block of Spring Street.
• Graffiti was reported found in the area at 2:16 p.m. on May 2 in the 700 block of Lynn Street.
• A 27-year-old Herndon man was arrested for being drunk in public at 7:08 p.m. on May 1 near the intersection of Monroe Street and Park Avenue.
• The victim reported receiving harassing phone calls form an acquaintance at 9:44 p.m. on May 4 in the 900 block of Park Avenue. 

CENTER DISTRICT
• A 19-year-old Chantilly woman was issued a summons for possession of marijuana at 12:48 a.m. on May 3 near the intersection of Alabama Drive and Lexus Way.
• A 23-year-old Herndon man was arrested for possession with intent to distribute Ecstacy at 12:48 a.m. on May 3 near the intersection of Alabama Drive and Lexus Way.
• A subject shoplifted a bottle of vodka from a business at 4:25 p.m. on April 30 in the 1200 block of ELden Street.
• A 34-year-old Herndon man was arrested for larceny and for being drunk in public at 10:15 a.m. on May 1 in the 1200 block of Elden Street.
• A 54-year-old Herndon man was issued a summons for larceny at 11:55 a.m. on may 5 in the 1000 block of Elden Street.
• A subject fled a cab without paying the fare at 4:58 p.m. on May 5 in the 1000 block of Elden Street.
• Graffiti wasa reported found in the area at 5:55 p.m. on April 30 in the 1000 block of Elden Street.
• A noise complaint was reported at 9:10 p.m. on May 3 in the 1200 block of Elden Street. 

OTHER INCIDENTS
• A 32-year-old Herndon man was arrested for driving while intoxicated at 8:50 p.m. on May 1 in the 600 block of Elden Street.
• A 23-year-old Falls Church man was arrested for driving while intoxicated at 1:01 a.m. on May 4 near the intersection of Herndon Parkway and Monroe Street.
• A 45-year-old Ashburn man was arrested for driving while intoxicated at 1:50 a.m. on May 5 near the intersection of Herndon Parkway and Bayshire Lane.
• A 28-year-old Herndon man was arrested for driving while intoxicated at 2:31 a.m. on May 5 near the intersection of Tympani Court and Burwick Drive.
• A 37-year-old Sterling man was arrested for driving while intoxicated at 3:50 a.m. on May 5 in the 1200 block of Sterling Road.
• A 48-year-old Sterling man was arrested for driving while intoxicated at 2:30 a.m. on May 6 in the 1200 block of Sterling Road.
• A 40-year-old Reston woman was arrested on a warrant out of Fairfax County at 10:35 a.m. on May 2 in the 300 block of Herndon Parkway.
• A 26-year-old Herndon man was arrested on a warrant out of Prince William County at 6:04 p.m. on May 5 in the 12000 block of Worldgate Drive.
• A 42-year-old Herndon man was arrested on a warrant out of Fairfax County at 9:24 p.m. on May 5 in the 600 block of Center Street.
• Herndon Police reported the following traffic incidents from April 30 through May 7: five incidents of reckless driving, six incidents of driving under the influence, 42 incidents of speeding, seven incidents of no operators license, four incidents of driving while on a suspended or revoked license, and 20 incidents of expired or no Town of Herndon sticker.
