Herndon Police Report - April 25 to May 1

Police reported a number of cars were broken into last week.

Town of Herndon Police reported the following incidents from April 25 through May 1, 2011:

BRUIN DISTRICT
• Roland Curtis, 41, of Herndon, was arrested for alleged assault and resisting arrest; Steven Beale, 20, of Herndon, was arrested for assault on a police officer and obstruction of justice. The incident took place at 11:56 p.m. on April 24 in the 600 block of Calhoun Court.
• The victim reported their purse was stolen from a locked vehicle between 7 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. on April 24 in the 500 block of Herndon Woods Court.

GOLF COURSE DISTRICT
• The windshield of a vehicle was reported damaged between 8 p.m. on April 30 and 8:33 a.m. on May 1 in the 900 block of Longfellow Court.
• Victor Diaz Guzman, 27, of Herndon, was arrested for alleged drunk in public at 12:52 p.m. on May 1 in the 600 block of Clearwater Court.

HALEY SMITH DISTRICT
• The victim reported he wired money to two subjects as a processing fee for a fraudulent grant. It was reported at 2:22 p.m. on April 28 in the 100 block of Tamarack Way.
• Maria Roncal, 22, of Herndon, was arrested for alleged shoplifting at 8:40 p.m. on April 29 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• Celia Mungia Ilizanbe, 37, of Herndon, was arrested for alleged shoplifting at 1:36 p.m. on April 30 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• An undisclosed amount of cash and several credit cards were reported stolen between 2:30 and 3:30 p.m. on April 30 in the 400 block of Carlisle Drive.
• Cruz Ramos, 46, of Herndon, was arrested for alleged shoplifting at 1:36 p.m. on May 1 in the 400 block of Elden Street.

RUNNYMEDE DISTRICT
• A vehicle was reported damaged when someone attempted to steal a radio between 9:05 a.m. on April 22 and 9:05 a.m. on April 25 in the 400 block of Madison Forest Drive.
• A bicycle was reported stolen at 7:19 p.m. on April 25 in the 700 block of Jenny Ann Court.
• Cash was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle between 8 p.m. on April 21 and 8 p.m. on April 23 in the 500 block of Dranesville Road.
• A CD player was reported stolen from a vehicle between 4 p.m. on April 12 and 2:30 p.m. on April 26 in the 500 block of Dranesville Road.
• A bicycle was reported stolen from a garage at 12:01 a.m. on April 27 in the 700 block of Jenny Ann Court.
• The victim was assaulted by an acquaintance at 11:33 a.m. on April 28 in the 1000 block of Kings Court.
• Herman White, 46, of Herndon, was arrested for alleged drunk in public and resisting arrest at 2:52 a.m. on May 1.

CENTER DISTRICT
• The victim reported his wallet was stolen from him as he was assaulted at 1:43 a.m. on May 1 in the 1100 block of Elden Street.
• The victim reported that an acquaintance stole their cell phone at 11:59 p.m. on April 27 in the 1000 block of Elden Street.
• Leo Martinez, 59, of no fixed address, was arrested for alleged drunk in public at 12:39 p.m. on April 28 in the 1100 block of Elden Street.
• A rock wall was reported damaged at 10:09 a.m. on May 1 in the 900 block of Locust Street.

OTHER INCIDENTS
• Jose Rodas Madrid, 26, of Hyattsville, MD, was arrested for alleged driving while intoxicated at 2:52 p.m. on April 26 in the 700 block of Dranesville Road.
• Miguel Espinoza Sanchez, 32, of no fixed address, was arrested on a warrant out of Arlington, VA at 12:09 a.m. on April 26 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• Herndon Police reported four incidents of reckless driving, one incident of driving under the influence, 65 incidents of speeding, 13 incidents of no operator’s license, and nine incidents of expired or no Town of Herndon sticker.
