The Herndon Police Department is hosting Youth Police Academy on Thursday's from Feb. 23 to May 3 at the Herndon Police Department.
Youth will attend from 6-9 p.m. each Thursday and will learn about different aspects of police work, including gangs, narcotics, traffic, polygraphing, K-9 units, crime scene investigations and more.
Youth must be between 14-18 years old, though if they will be 14 by the May 3rd graduation they may still participate. An application is attached as a PDF or can be obtained by contacting Officer Henry at the Herndon Police Department at 703-787-7627.
