Herndon Police Blotter: Woman Trespasses Three Times in One Day Before Arrest

Also, items stolen from several cars, and a handful of drug and shoplifting arrests.

 

Herndon police say a woman was caught trespassing at a home in the 700 block of Van Buren Street three times in one day.

On April 19, police received the first call from the resident at noon that day.

The woman came back, prompting the resident to call the police again at 5:49 p.m. 

However, two calls to the police apparently weren't enough to scare the 34-year-old Great Falls woman off, because she returned yet again, just before 7:45 p.m.

This time, Herndon police arrested her.

BRUIN DISTRICT

Larceny - A resident reported his/her vehicle was entered and a laptop was stolen, sometime between April 12 and 14.

April 15 - Fraud: A person in the 500 block of Florida Avenue reported receiving a fraudulent check from someone he/she had been in touch with on Craiglist.

April 16 - Assault: A person in the 500 block of Florida Avenue reported being assaulted by an acquaintance.

Larceny - A person in the 700 block of Palmer Drive reported his/her vehicle was entered and a pair of sunglasses was stolen, sometime between April 18 and 19.

April 21 - Public Urination: A 67-year-old Herndon man was issued a summons for urinating in public in the 900 block of Alabama Drive.

 

GOLF COURSE DISTRICT

April 20 - Assault: A person reported being assaulted by an acquaintance in the 400 block of Elden Street.

April 19 - Larceny: A person reported his/her car was entered and a knife, loose change and a bottle of medication was stolen, in the 500 block of Van Buren Street.

April 19 - Attempted Larceny: Two juvenile subjects attempted to shoplift items from a business in the 400 block of Elden Street. Later that day, another juvenile subject attempted to steal makeup from a business in the same block.

 

HALEY SMITH DISTRICT

April 20 - Assault: A victim reported being assaulted by an acquaintance, in the 400 block of Elden Street.

Larceny - A person in the 500 block of Elden Street reported his/her car was entered and a knife, loose change and a bottle of medication were stolen.

April 19 - Shoplifting: Two juvenile subjects attempted to steal items from a business in the 400 block of Elden Street. Later that day, one juvenile subject was caught attempting to steal makeup from a business in the same block.

 

RUNNYMEDE DISTRICT

April 16 - Possession of Drugs: A 31-year-old Winchester man was arrested in the 1500 block of Herndon Parkway for possession of marijuana.

April 16 - Fraud: A victim in the 800 block of Ballou Court reported unauthorized charges on her credit card.

April 18 - Possession of Drugs, Drunk in Public: A 31-year-old Herndon man was arrested for possession of marujuana and being drunk in public, in the 600 block of Spring Street.

 

CENTER DISTRICT

April 15 - Assault, Drunk in Public: A 29-year-old Herndon man was arrested for assault and being drunk in public, in the 1000 block of Elden Street.

April 15 - Larceny: A victim in the 1100 block of Elden Street reported his/her car was entered and the title and registration were stolen.

April 16 - Assault: A victim in the 1100 block of Elden Street reported being assaulted by an acquaintance.

April 17 - Assault: A victim in the 1000 block of Alabama Drive reported being assaulted by an acquaintance.

April 17 - Outside Agency Assist: An 18-year-old Herndon female was arrested for an outstanding warrant out of Loudoun County.

April 19 - Drunk in Public: A 29-year-old transient was arrested in the 1200 block of Elden Street for being drunk in public.

April 21 - Attempted Theft: A subject attempted to shoplift crab legs from a business in the 1200 block of Elden Street.

April 21 - Trespassing: A 41-year-old Herndon man was arrested for trespassing in the 1000 block of Elden Street.

April 21 - DUI: Carlos Mejia, a 40-year-old Herndon man, was arrested for driving while intoxicated near the intersection of Elden Street and Alabama Drive.
