Herndon Man Arrested in Alleged Child Pornography Case
Police encourage anyone who has information on the case to contact them
The Herndon Police Department received a report of suspected child pornography on July 4, 2011, that was observed inside a home in the 1300 block of Grant Street in Herndon.
Police said after an investigation, Carl Mitchell, a 60-year-old Herndon man was arrested on two felony warrants on Tuesday, July 5. Mitchell, of 1329 Grant Street, was taken to Fairfax County jail and charged with one count of possession of child pornography and one count of production of child pornography, Herndon police said in a special press release.
Anyone with additional information on the investigation or who has concerns from previous contacts with Mitchell is asked to contact Detective Croson of the Herndon Police Department at 703-4350-6846.
