Locals said they could see the smoke and commotion.

A fire late Saturday night has displaced one Herndon family.

A supervisor for Fairfax County Fire and Rescue said a call came in shortly after 10:30 p.m. Saturday reporting a fire in a single-family home in the 400 block of Queens Row Street, near the corner of Trinity Gate Street.
