FCPD Arrests Suspect in Connection with Herndon Area Sexual Assault
The man who allegedly sexually assaulted a woman in her home in the Herndon area was arrested Saturday
The man who allegedly sexually assaulted a woman in the 13700 block of Merrybrook Court in the Herndon area earlier this month has been arrested.
Police arrested Ernesto W. Solano Godoy, 27, of 1206 Chase Heritage Circle Apt. 101, in Sterling on Saturday.
On June 4 police were called to the victim’s apartment on Merrybrook Court after the 23-year-old woman woke up to find a man in her bedroom. He displayed a weapon and sexually assaulted her before fleeing the home.

Solano Godoy was identified by FCPD sex crimes detectives and he was arrested at about 8 p.m. Saturday at his home. He was taken to the Fairfax County jail and charged with rape, burglary with the intent to rape and abduction with the intent to defile.
