Officials said sounding smoke alarms provided early warning for two occupants, enabling both occupants to escape unharmed. They said, Red Cross support was offered but declined by the occupants.

There were no injuries.

Damage to the home is estimated at $60,000.

According to fire investigators, the fire was accidental. The fire originated in the attic as a result of "resistant electrical heating," the department's statement indicated.
