Crime Report: Woman Robbed of Cash at Gunpoint, and More

A few other robberies on the street have taken place recently as well, police have reported.

Town of Herndon police reported that a female victim was robbed at gunpoint in the 13000 block of Worldgate Drive around 9:05 a.m. on Friday, July 13.

The robber took cash. No injuries were reported.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing.


The following additional incidents were also reported by the Town of Herndon Police Department. 
Where arrests are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.


July 6 - Robbery: 
A 47-year-old male victim reported that he was robbed of cash by three unknown subjects as he was leaving a business in the 1000 block of Elden Street. An investigation is ongoing.

July 14 - Extortion: A group of alleged MS-13 gang members threatened to injure a victim in the 1200 block of Elden Street if he did not pay them. Two juveniles were stopped and identified. Juvenile petitions are pending.

July 14 - Abduction: A victim was forced by someone known to him into the suspect's vehicle against his will. The victim was able to escape out of the vehicle before the suspect drove off. The victim sustained minor injuries. The suspect was identified as an 18-year-old Herndon man and was arrested and charged with abduction. He was held without bond.

Aug. 3 - Robbery: A female victim reported being approached by two females and a male subject in the 1100 block of Cypress Tree Place around 11:15 p.m. One of the female subjects grabbed the victim’s iPhone and a credit card and fled the area. Officers later identified and arrested a 19-year-old suspect. She was charged with "accessory after the fact" in a felony and possession of a stolen credit card. She was held on no bond at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center. A juvenile petition will be sought for robbery on the 15-year-old female suspect as well.
