The department notes the data represents what responding officers are determining through preliminary investigation. Further investigation may find no crime occurred or that the circumstances were different than first determined.

We've listed particular calls below highlighted in daily crime reports. Where an arrest is mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Man Arrested for Soliciting a Minor

Alcohol Enforcement

DIRECTED PATROL, 5/30/14. Officers from the Operational Support Bureau patrolled the county searching for drunk drivers. One driver was charged with DWI. Forty-one summonses were issued.

DIRECTED PATROL, 5/31/14. Officers from the Operational Support Bureau patrolled the county searching for drunk drivers. No drivers were charged with DWI. Twenty-four summonses were issued.

CHECKPOINT, 4600 block of West Ox Road, 5/31/14. Officers conducted a DWI checkpoint searching for drunk drivers. Five-hundred-twenty-eight vehicles passed through. Three drivers were charged with DWI. Seven summonses were issued.

BURGLARY, 6000 block of Little Brook Court, 6/2/14. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.

BURGLARY, 14600 block of Olde Kent Road, 6/4/14. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.

Mount Vernon District

BURGLARY, 8100 block of Martha Street, 6/3/14, 1:40 p.m. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property. Responding police officers located the suspect and took into custody. Damarquas Johnson, 22, of Alexandria, was charged with burglary.

BURGLARY, 4500 block of Arendale Square, 6/5/14, 1:58 p.m. A resident reported someone attempted to break into the residence while she was inside. Responding police officers located three suspects and took them into custody. A 15-year-old juvenile male and two 14-year-old juvenile males were all charged with burglary.

McLean District

FATAL CRASH, 5/27/14, 2:08 p.m. Officers were called for a single vehicle crash in the area of Towlston Road and Shouse Drive. Mary Eckert, 80, of Potomac, Virginia. was going north on Towlston Road in a 2002 Lexux RX200 and ran off the right side of the road striking a tree. She was transported to a hospital and died on May 29 as a result of her injuries. Speed and alcohol were not factors in the crash.

 8600 block of Lee Highway, 6/3/14. An employee reported someone entered the business and took property.

 1300 block of Beverly Road, 6/5/14. An employee reported someone entered the business and took property.

Mason District

ROBBERY, 3400 block of Glen Carlyn Drive, 5/31/14, 1:19 a.m. The victim was walking when he was approached by three suspects. One suspect demanded cash while another suspect assaulted the victim. After getting cash, the suspects fled on foot. The victim did not require rescue. The first suspect was described as a white or Hispanic male, 19-20, and about 5 feet 4 inches to 5 feet 7 inches tall. The second suspect was described as a black male, 19-20, about 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall. The third suspect was described as a male about 5 feet 4 inches to 5 feet 6 inches tall.

ROBBERY, 5500 block of Seminary Road, 6/2/14, 9:35 p.m. The victim was walking when he was approached from behind by two suspects. The victim was pushed to the ground and the suspects took cash from him. The victim did not require rescue. The suspects were described as black males.

Reston District

UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 2400 block of Freetown Drive, 5/31/14, 5:58 p.m. A resident reported seeing individuals breaking into a vacant home. Responding officers took four juveniles into custody. Nothing was taken. Investigation continues.

BURGLARY, 2200 block of Cartwright Place, 6/3/14. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.

Franconia District

ROBBERY, 7700 block of Telegraph Road, 6/1/14, 4:26 a.m. Two suspects entered a convenience store and displayed handguns to employees. The suspects took cash and merchandise and fled. There were no injuries. Both suspects were described as black males, about 5 feet 4 inches to 5 feet 6 inches tall.

BURGLARY, 7000 block of Commerce Street, 6/4/14. An employee reported someone entered the business and took property.

West Springfield District

ASSAULT, 8700 block of Brook Estates Court, 5/31/14, 12:36 a.m. Police responded to a fight at a party located at a private residence. Two adult males were transported to a local hospital, one with life-threatening injuries and later upgraded to stable condition. The other male had non-life threatening injuries. Investigation continues.

ARREST, 6/5/14. Detectives arrested Laurence Einuis, 53, of 8456 Great Lake Lane, Springfield, on Thursday, June 5, and charged him with use of communications systems to facilitate certain offenses involving children. The arrest came as a result of an investigation which began on Monday, June 2, where Einuis allegedly engaged in an inappropriate conversation with a 14-year-old boy. The boy was not harmed.

Einuis was arrested at West Springfield High School without incident and transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center. Einuis is a teacher with Fairfax County Public Schools. Detectives would like to speak with anyone else who has information that may assist with this investigation.

BURGLARY, 2400 block of Sunny Meadow Lane, 6/2/14. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.

UNLAWFUL ENTRY
, 5100 block of Pheasant Ridge Road, 6/3/14. A resident reported someone entered the garage and took property.

Animal Control Division

ANIMAL BITE, Wiehle Avenue/North Shore Drive, 5/30/14, 8 a.m. A man was walking on the sidewalk when a Labrador dog bit the man on the arm. The victim received a minor injury. The dog was routinely quarantined.
