Sully District

TRESPASSING, 7000 block of Clifton Road, 3/15/14, 10:54 a.m. Police responded to an alarm at an elementary school. Upon arrival, police discovered two juveniles who had entered the building through an unsecured window. Nothing was taken and nothing was damaged. The two juveniles were released to their parents with charges forthcoming.

Mount Vernon District

UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 7700 block of Stone Wheat Court, 3/15/14, 12:42 a.m. A resident reported an unknown man walked into the home but then left immediately. Nothing was taken.

WEAPON VIOLATION, 2700 block of Mennifield Court, 3/16/14, 01:16 a.m. Several individuals were drinking inside a private residence when two people went outside and began arguing. A third individual also exited and apparently discharged his handgun into the air in an attempt to break-up the argument. This individual then accidentally shot himself in the leg and was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. John Touch, 32, of Richmond, Virginia, was charged with reckless handling of a firearm and discharging a firearm within 100 feet of a school.

ROBBERY, Janna Lee Avenue/Richmond Highway, 3/17/14, 1:02 p.m. The victim was at a bus-stop when she was approached by a man displaying a handgun. The suspect grabbed her purse and fled on foot. There were no injuries. The suspect was described as black, 20s, and about 6 feet tall.

ROBBERY, Lawrence Street/Russell Road, 3/17/14, 1:38 p.m. The victim was walking when she was approached from behind by a man. The suspect displayed a handgun and took her purse. There were no injuries.  The suspect was described as black, 20s, and about 6 feet tall. Police are investigating the possibility that this case is related to the above.

BURGLARY, 8500 block of Wagon Wheel Road, 3/18/14. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.

BURGLARY, 2600 block of Stone Hedge Drive, 3/19/14. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.

BURGLARY, 8300 block of Richmond Highway, 3/20/14. An employee reported someone entered the business and took property.

Mason District

ASSAULT, 3000 block of Patrick Henry Drive, 3/16/14, 9:24 p.m. A woman was walking when she was approached by a man displaying a knife. The victim screamed before the suspect’s intentions became known and he fled on foot. There were no injuries. The suspect was described as Hispanic, about 6 feet tall with a skinny build.

Reston District

BURGLARY, 11700 block of Shaker Knolls Court, 3/20/14. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.

Franconia District

BURGLARY, 5200 block of Montgomery Street, 3/15/14. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.

BURGLARY, 5800 block of Kingstowne Center, 3/17/14. An employee reported someone entered the business and took property.

ROBBERY, 6400 block of Springfield Plaza, 3/18/14, 9:14 p.m. A man entered a store, stole beer and then displayed a knife to an employee. There were no injuries. Responding police were able to apprehend the suspect and recover the stolen property. The suspect refused to identify himself but nevertheless was charged with robbery and taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.

BURGLARY, 7000 block of Spring Garden Drive, 3/19/14. An employee reported someone entered the business and took property.

BURGLARY, 6100 block of Rose Hill Drive, 3/20/14. An employee reported someone entered the business and took property.

West Springfield District

INDECENT EXPOSURE, 8100 block of Pasture Rose Court, 3/14/14. A woman was walking when a man exposed himself.  The suspect was described as black, 17-29, and about 5 feet 9 inches tall.

BURGLARY
, 11600 block of Lawter Lane, 3/18/14. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property. 

INDECENT EXPOSURE, 8100 block of Halley Court, 3/20/14, 8:20 a.m. A woman was walking to her car when a man exposed himself.  The suspect was described as black, 20’s, and about 6 feet tall with a thin build.

Fair Oaks District

BURGLARY, 2500 block of Pascal Place, 3/18/14. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.

BURGLARY, 4100 block of Monument Hill Way, 3/18/14. A resident reported someone entered the residence and took property.
