This "report" and the WJLA Report are pretty shallow. Incidents of bodies being found or falling out of wheel wells on aircraft have been occurring for decades. What almost certainly happened here is that some poor soul attempted to stow away on this aircraft on the tarmac at Dakar or Johannesburg; (reporters can look up South African Airways routes at their website) made it past security and got into the wheel well and was either crushed by the landing gear on take off or died of lack of oxygen above 12 thousand feet. Landing gear wells are generally not pressurized. This incident does raise issues about perimeter and aircraft envelope security at the departure aircraft as a bomb could have been placed on the aircraft as easily as that individual stowed away into the wheel well. A couple of years ago a teenager tried the same thing at the Charlotte, NC airport and his body fell to the ground outside of Boston, MA.
