The quickest way to tell if it’s an election year is to track Tom Rust’s flip-flops. His latest one is regarding the $60 hybrid/electric car tax. He voted for it, now he’s against it. Add this to his immigration reform and women’s ultrasound flip-flops this election season and you begin to see the pattern.
