Local 5K Race and Festivities this Saturday

Hello all! So my name is Michael Malito and I am a senior at Herndon High School. This weekend, May 17 from 9am-Noon, the school is hosting its annual 5K race at the High School (700 Bennett Street in Herndon). Every year, this event is held to raise money for the Paige Saucedo Program, which helps give scholarships to those who can't necessarily afford college. Especially since Mrs. Saucedo dedicated her life to teaching in our beloved town of Herndon, it is only just that we honor her life and dedication with such a fundraiser. But we cannot do it alone. The event is open to anyone who would like to come and enjoy a morning of exercise and activities. Aside from the 5k(which is $10 per minor and $20 per adult) there will also be other festivities to enjoy such as a Live Battle of the Bands, a pickup soccer tournament, games, and food. There will be no entrance fee if you choose not to run, however there will be opportunities to donate to the foundation throughout the day. If you can make it, please come out and support a good cause! Make sure to tell all of your friends to come too! See you there!
