To the Editor,
I extend my congratulations to all of the candidates in Tuesday's election on your campaigns and thank each of you for your willingness to serve the residents of Herndon. It is a lot of work to run and the families also sacrifice in order to support the effort.
During the course of the campaign I met hundreds of people, some of whom invited me into their homes and offices to talk about issues and their concerns. It was a real pleasure meeting and learning from each of you and I enjoyed meeting so many kind and thoughtful Herndon residents.
Especially, I would like to thank each person who voted for me. A vote is precious and as a newcomer to Herndon I deeply appreciate your trust that I would have represented your interests on the Town Council.
In the coming years Herndon will be faced with many economic opportunities and challenges due to the extension of the Metro and being part of Northern Virginia. I plan to remain involved to ensure the residents of Herndon gain the maximum benefit from this activity.
