Richard "Lee" Allder, 83, of Herndon, passed peacefully October 27, 2012.
He was the husband of 63 years to Janet Allder. Father of Wanda (Steve) Mitchell of Herndon and son-in-law Jim Strickland of Sterling. Brother of Libby Hutchison of Chantilly.
Mr. Allder is also survived by grandchildren Jennifer (Mark Borcherding) Sharp of Ashburn, Lara (Tod) Larson of South Riding, Cristie (Brandon) Carpenter of Ft. Worth, TX, Nikki Mitchell of Herndon, Katie (David) Kipper of Carlsbad, CA, Stevie Mitchell of Herndon and great-grandchildren Aly, Reed, Amy, Kyla, and Mitchell.

He was preceded by his daughter Ginger Strickland.
Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 5. Memorial donations suggested to Capital Caring Hospice 2900 Telestar Court, Falls Church, VA 22042.
