HARRY CLAYBROOK GILLEY, age 82, passed away on April 6, 2014 at his home in Herndon, VA.
He was born on January 5, 1932 in Danville, VA to the late Harry Clay and Lucy (Winn) Gilley. Harry was a 1951 graduate of Osbourn High School and a 1958 graduate of Virginia Tech. He served in the U.S. Army.
Predeceased by his daughter: Laura Gilley Whitehair and two sisters: Elizabeth Kincheloe and Evelyn Wells.
Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years, Nancy Breeden Gilley of Herndon, VA; three sons: D. Craig Gilley and wife Susan of Ashburn, VA, Brian Gilley and wife Melissa of South Riding, VA and Dean Gilley and wife Heather of Aldie,VA; one granddaughter; 10 grandsons; one great grandson and one sister: Nancy Breeden of Manassas, VA.
A Celebration of Harry’s Life will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Manassas Church of the Brethren, 10047 Nokesville Road, Manassas, VA 20110 with Rev. Donna Leahy officiating. Interment will be private.
In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Manassas Church of the Brethren in loving memory of Harry C. Gilley.
