Herndon Braves play a home game tonight;Herndon Chamber Committee meets Tuesday.

There's a lot happening in Herndon this week, including a few things you may want to know about or attend. 

1. The at Herndon High School at 7 p.m. They take on the Baltimore Redbirds. The Redbirds are currently standing at first in the league, while the Braves are in seventh. 

2. The Herndon on Tuesday. The featured speaker is Herndon's new Mayor, Lisa Merkel, who will discuss her plans and goals for her term. The event is bring your own lunch.

3. . The exhibit includes photographs, watercolors, drawings and more of Margaret Thomas' famous iris gardens. 

4. The at Amphora Diner Deluxe in Herndon. Rotary's new President, Yvonne Hoffman, will be discussing the organization's goals for 2012-2013.

5. Next up at the . The Diggity Dudes perform hoppin' music for hip kids. The show is from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. Thursday on the town green behind the Herndon Municipal Center during the farmers market.
