Magic Show and Costumes Delight at Spooktacular

Families seemed to have a blast at Friday night's Spooktacular at the Herndon Community Center.

Tons of local families turned out Friday night for the Herndon Parks and Recreation Department's Spooktacular at the Herndon Community Center.

Activities were spread out over several rooms at the Center - one was set up entirely for fun arts and crafts, another was full of carnival-style games with a spooky theme, and yet another was set up like a full-scale theater for a professional magic show.

Decorations were everywhere, and there was even a bouncy house and a temporary tattoo station.

Every child got a treat bag full of Halloween knick-knacks and treats, as well as a balloon.

Kids chose all manner of costumes to get dressed up in this year, from superheroes to princesses to the tried-and-true pumpkins or Minnie Mouses.

All appeared to have a fantastic time.
