Youth Art Contest- Celebrating Black History Month

Herndon Town Council Member Grace Han Wolf, Artspace Herndon and the Council for the Arts of Herndon invite the parents of school age Herndon students to submit photos of their children’s artwork celebrating African American History Month.  Entries must feature photos or photos of original art created by Herndon students, ages 5-13, and that reflect the theme of African American History Month.

Photos will be posted in an online gallery on Facebook on Councilmember Grace Han Wolf’s page (www.facebook.com/CouncilmemberGrace), the Artspace page (www.facebook.com/herndonartspace) and the Council for the Arts of Herndon page (www.facebook.com/herndonartscouncil) for the duration of the contest and may also be displayed on their respective websites.  One winner will be selected and displayed as the Facebook cover photo for the last week of February.

Councilmember Grace Han Wolf said “I’m delighted to work with our arts groups to create an opportunity for our children to share their artwork, while honoring African American History Month.  Our community is one that celebrates our diversity and of course, our love of the arts.  I can’t wait to see the children’s artwork!”
